Comedian and TV star Matt Richardson has shared the heartwarming news of his engagement to his long-time love, Sam Rollinson after 10 years together. Sam couldn’t wait to show off her stunning sparkler online, accompanied by a lovely caption reflecting on their decade together: “Ten years of love, joy, laughter and adventure, @mattrichardson3 is now my fiancé.”
In the beautiful pictures shared on Instagram on Wednesday morning, Sam beams and holds up her hand showing off her new ring, as Matt plants a kiss on his bride-to-be. Matt, 33, appeared to pop the question against the idyllic backdrop of Inverlochy Castle Hotel in Scotland during a gorgeous sunset. The proposal was an affair to remember with both Matt and Sam dressed to the nines while they sipped on bubbly to celebrate the romantic milestone.

Celebrity friends like Laura Whitmore, Daisy Lowe, Vicky Pattison, and Iain Stirling rushed to congratulate the delighted duo.
Laura left a red heart emoji, whilst Daisy commented: “Oh massive congratulations LOVE,” with a love heart emoji replacing the ‘o’ in love. Vicky commented: “ARGHHHHHHHHH!!!! I’m so happy for you both!!!! congratulations,” alongside several lovestruck emojis. Emily Atack wrote: “Yayyyyyyyyyyy!!!!! xxxxxx” while Love Island narrator Iain commented: “YAS!”
Well-wishes also poured in from fans, with one exclaiming: “Awww huge congratulations!” Another said: “Biggest congratulations you beautys!”, reports the Mirror.

Sam is a successful model but graduated with a BA in Arts and Humanities specialising in Philosophy and Religion last year.
Praising his partner at the time, Matt said: “Congratulations to @samrollinson for getting her degree. Not many people would use their spare time whilst having an incredible career as a model to better themselves and push their own boundaries. When it got hard you carried on, and bettered yourself. Congratulations to my best pal xxx.”
Matt presented ITV2 spin-off show The Xtra Factor alongside the late Caroline Flack in 2013.
In 2021 he competed on Dancing On Ice but was eliminated after just a single week on the show. He was partnered with professional skater Vicky Ogden, replacing fellow stand-up Rufus Hound, who dropped out after catching Covid-19.

After being eliminated, Matt said: “I am quite relieved. This is the most horrifying and terrifying and fear-inducing thing I have ever done.
“The whole experience has been amazing. Training to skate, being a stand-in was amazing because everyone was doing the TV bit, I didn’t have to do any of that. I was very happy.
“But it has been great. Vicky has been phenomenal. I have loved skating with her.”
