The Only Was Is Essex star Yazmin Oukhellou has opened up about her goals for 2025 as she aims to ditch the booze as she confesses to partying to ‘mask feelings’
Yazmin Oukhellou has vowed to make a change in 2025 as she confesses to partying to ‘mask feelings’. The Only Was Is Essex star shared an honest New Year post about her lifestyle and detailed her goals for the future in order to be the ‘best version’ of herself.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, 1 January, Yazmin shared some stunning snaps from her lavish night out celebrating the New Year as she donned a short sequined and corset dress. Accompanying the photo and video, Yasmin wished her followers a “Happy New Year” before detailing her new approach to 2025. In the caption, she shared: “Happy New Year my beautifuls, sorry it’s late I’ve just about risen from my hangover, that’s it now I’m going T Total and really going to give this year my all at being the best version of myself.” Yazmin continued: “That means strict routines, habits and rituals and also completely changing my environment.
“I’ve partied way too much this year to last a life time and realised I genuinely don’t enjoy it I just do it to mask feelings I repress. I’m going to be replacing my weekends with more wholesome things, around the people I love, making memories that I can actually remember & I’m actually going to do the inner work on my traumas once and for all! I’m not going to be too hard on myself if I do have a slip but I’m posting this on here so that it’s harder for me to go back to my old ways as I’ll have you guys reminding me.”
She ended the posted with a supportive message to her followers and added: “Anyone else who feels like me comment below and let’s all try keep each other on track and make 2025 our best year yet. So much love to you all.”
Yazmin was flooded with support on her decision to quit alcohol and to work on herself. One fan penned: “I feel you I wanna stop drinking at least for 6 months as the hangovers just kill me and I know there’s so much more than just drinking to have a good time good luck.”
A second commented: “Ditto…. it’s always good to get others on board with u. U will find u interact with way more like minded people when you change the things you do and enjoy. It’s pretty wholesome.” A third said: “I’m also starting this journey with the same outlook I want to be a better version of myself and need to deal with things xx.”
“I’m doing the same love yourself because not else will,” a fourth shared. While one more wrote: “comepletely the same…we should all be supporting eachother to be our best selves heres to 2025 we all got this.”
Yazmin has had a tough time. In the summer of 2022, she was seriously injured in a fatal car crash in Turkey, which tragically claimed the life of reality star Jake McLean. Since then, Yaz relocated to Dubai and rebuilt her life, working on herself and on/off relationship with former TOWIE star Jame Lock.
