This Morning thrown into chaos as producer storms off set after guests create a ‘huge mess’!

This Morning’s episode on Thursday saw a producer ‘walk off set’ after two adorable guests left quite the mess in the studio. Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley were celebrating The International Day Of Happiness, broadcasting from outside the studio on the first day of Spring.

They were later joined by two cute Shetland Ponies, Spirit the teddy bear and Missy the unicorn, who are therapy animals used in care homes, schools, and hospitals to uplift spirits. The hosts were also joined by guests Alice and nine year old Gracey, with Alice revealing how Gracey’s heart melts at the sight of Spirit. Alice further explained how horses are non-judgmental and bring joy to thousands with their cuteness that ‘lights up a room’.

However, Spirit and Missy left behind a not-so-adorable mess in the studio.

After the break, Ben pointed out: “Our team need to clear up after the ponies,” to which Cat responded: “Poop and pee.”, reports the Mirror.

Ben continued, commenting on the large amount of mess and asking producer Abbie if she was on clean-up duty. The camera then panned to Abbie, who signalled no, leaving Ben and Cat in fits of laughter.

Producer Abbie then turned around and walked off set, prompting Cat to exclaim: “She’s off now!”

In recent news, Vivek Sharma has been named the new boss of ITV’s This Morning, starting in March. The announcement follows former editor Martin Frizell’s decision to step down back in November after ten years to support his wife, previous GMTV presenter Fiona Phillips, in her battle with Alzheimer’s, which was diagnosed last year.

The incoming associate editor Vivek couldn’t hide his thrill, sharing: “Having grown up watching the show, it’s an incredible privilege and honour to take on the role of editor of This Morning.”

He continued by noting: “Over the last 37 years, the show has become a national institution and has been responsible for some of the most memorable moments on television.”

Vivek also highlighted the show’s impact: “It’s a cherished part of millions of people’s mornings on TV and on social media, where someone interacts with This Morning content every second.”
