The One Show presenter Alex Jones and co-star Lauren Laverne had some exciting news to share with viewers as they kicked off this week’s episodes of the BBC show
The One Show’s host, Alex Jones, has revealed a major first for the BBC series set to happen in 2025.
During Monday evening’s episode, Alex and her co-host Lauren Laverne took a moment to share some news with their viewers.
“Of course, we do love hearing from you,” she began. “Now then, news. We have something new for 2025.”
As a phone number and QR code appeared on screen, Lauren looked thrilled.
“You can now send us a message using our new WhatsApp number,” Alex announced. The number is 0330 123 1 700, reports Wales Online.
“Or you scan, see that QR code there? Scan that,” she continued. “Remember to include your name with your message, or you can still contact us in all the usual ways.”
A pop-up confirmed that viewers can still reach out via social media by searching for BBCTheOneShow or emailing them at theoneshow@bbc.co.uk.
Lauren added: “Love that. No excuse not to talk to us, come on!”
Monday’s episode started the week and the new year with an impressive line-up of special guests.
After her stunning performance on The Masked Singer, Dame Prue Leith joined the hosts to discuss her experience alongside the show’s host Joel Dommett.
Alex and Lauren also chatted with actor Mark Williams, famous for his role as Arthur Weasley in the Harry Potter films.
He’s currently playing Father Brown, which will be back for its 12th season on Friday.
Finally, adventurer Ben Fogle was in the studio to talk about his latest adventures in New Lives in the Wild.
