Coronation Street star, Sue Cleaver received messages full of support and praise from fans after posting a picture of herself shortly after confirming she had filmed her final scenes in the long-running soap.
The actress confessed she had an “emotional” final day on the set of Corrie when she wrapped up her 25 year stint on the show at the end of March.
Cleaver will remain as a daytime panellist on ITV’s Loose Women, which she joined last year, and shared behind-the-scenes snaps from the show.
The 61-year-old host posted: “Top start to the week with my ladies on @loosewomen” along with pictures of herself and fellow hosts Denise Welch, Jane Moore and Brenda Edwards.
Cleaver has amassed hundreds of thousands of fans and social media followers, mostly from her time spent on screen as Eileen Grimshaw in more than 2230 episodes on the cobbles.
She joined the soap in 2000, with her character also appearing in a mini-episode crossover with Eastenders for Children in Need in 2010.
These fans were quick to compliment her and her outfit as she posed for a picture in a baby blue jumper and Ombre skirt.
One user commented: “Looking bloody amazing Sue!” While another added: “Lovely outfit, you look amazing.”
In a later post, Cleaver shared an embarrassing gaffe with her followers that she had made when leaving the ITV studio.
She said: “That feeling when you get on the wrong train going in the wrong direction….Only made bearable by enjoying a fabulous journey with the one and only Grace Dent.”
The post, made to her Instagram, featured an image of the actress and radio DJ Dent smiling ear to ear as they enjoyed the impromptu catch-up.
