Lilly Gerrard gave birth to her daughter Lila Grey two months ago today and the Gerrard family have shared adorable photos to celebrate her birth. Lilly, the eldest daughter of Liverpool FC legend Steven Gerrard shared a snap of Lila to Instagram with the caption “2 months today”.
Lila Grey Gerrard is the daughter of Lilly and Lee Byrne. They announced the birth in July with a picture of Lee holding a baby carrier, with the simple caption: “@Leebyrne 2 becomes 3.”
Gerrard’s eldest daughter has kept in with the family tradition of using names beginning with ‘L’. Steven and Alex Gerrard have daughters Lilly, Lexie, 19, Lourdes, 14, and a son named Lio, eight.
Gerrard has shared how proud he is of Lilly after she gave birth. In a post uploaded to Gerrard’s Instagram Stories in July, a picture of his daughter taking a mirror selfie was shared. He wrote: “So proud of you Lilly”, alongside a red heart emoji.
After sharing that it had been two months since she had given birth to Lila Grey, Lilly wrote “In love with you”. Lilly’s sister Lourdes has also marked the special day. She wrote “two months of loving you” alongside a photo of her niece.
Steven Gerrard has embraced his new role as grandad and regularly shares photos of himself on “grandad duty”. The 45-year-old was sent a congratulations message from the Reds after Lila was born, containing gift for the baby.
Lilly and her partner Lee Byrne have been dating for over two years, the two confirmed their relationship in 2022 with a series of pictures from time together in Ibiza, Spain.
Gerrard’s daughter grew up in Merseyside but has spent a lot of time away from the UK in the past couple of years due to her dad’s management commitments with Al-Ettifaq FC, a team he departed from in January. However, since the family returned to the UK, she spends most of her time in Liverpool.
As expected, Lilly is hoping her own daughter will grow up to be a Liverpool supporter. She recently posted a picture of the new Liverpool FC home kit.
The outfit was completed with an adorable red bow hairband for Lila Grey. Lilly added laughing emojis and a red love heart as she showed off the new outfit on social media.
Steven Gerrard has given his seal of approval to his daughter’s partner with a special message. As Lee celebrated his birthday last month, the former midfielder said: “He said: “Happy birthday to my son in law.”
Gerrard was the first to comment after his daughter revealed her exciting baby news earlier this year as he said: “We can’t wait. Great news and congratulations we love you.”
