Lilly Gerrard, the 21-year-old daughter of Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, has been sharing updates on her pregnancy journey. She first announced she was expecting in January with a baby scan photo on Instagram, captioned: “Our little secret. The best news, mini us is on the way.” Lilly and her partner, Lee Byrne, who have been together for over two years, are eagerly preparing to welcome their baby.
Recently, Lilly posted two pictures to her Instagram story proudly showing her baby bump, captioned “almost there” with a laughing and heart emoji.
Since making the announcement, Lilly, who grew up in Formby, has received a flood of love and support. Steven Gerrard was among the first to comment, expressing his excitement: “We can’t wait. Great news and congratulations, we love you.” He often shares family moments on social media and openly celebrates his love for his children.
Her mother, Alex, also left a comment saying, “Can’t wait,” while Lilly’s sister Lexie, 18, chimed in, “Can’t wait to be an auntie.” Steven and Alex have been happily married since 2007, after a beautiful wedding at Cliveden House in Berkshire. Reflecting on their wedding, Steven once told OK! Magazine, “When I saw her coming down the stairs, she just looked amazing. And the girls looked really beautiful. I was dead proud of all of them.”
The couple has four children: Lilly, Lexie, Lourdes (13), and Lio (7). This year has been especially memorable for Lilly, who celebrated her 21st birthday in February. She marked the occasion by sharing a photo of a beautiful bouquet and a cake that read “Happy 21st birthday Lilly,” alongside the caption: “Gorgeous birthday weekend with the girls.”
Though Lilly grew up in Merseyside, she has spent much of the past few years abroad due to her father’s managerial role at Al-Ettifaq FC, a position he left in January.
