Stephen Graham Opens Up About ‘Ups and Downs’ with Famous Wife After ‘Emotional’ Moment

Actor Stephen Graham dropped a hint about his home life as he reflected on the ‘ups and downs’ with his wife Hannah Walters and even opened up on a ‘heart-breaking’ moment.

Reflecting on the relationship he and his actor wife have with their children, Liverpool-born Stephen gave a rare insight into his home life. He told The Times: “We have ups and downs, of course. Luckily, though, the relationship we both have with our children is beautiful – but it takes work.”

The actor also reflected on his own parenting methods as he revealed that a 15-year-old friend of his son told him that his dad had never told him he loved him or even offered him so much as a hug.

While shedding light on his current home life, Stephen took a look back to his younger days as he admitted that there was a ‘lot of laughter’.

Stephen went on to criticise his own industry for how it has depicted working-class people. He added: “My childhood was full of it (laugher) and being able to represent where I’m from is integral to me. Too often I’ll watch stuff and think they’re treating the working class like an art project. It’s very condescending.”

Stephen and Hannah first met while they were both training to become actors at the Rose Bruford College of Theatre & Performance in Sidcup, south-east London. Their daughter Grace was born in 2005 and their son Alfie was born in 2007 before the couple tied the knot in June 2008.

Away from married life, the pair have opposite one another on screen down the years. The pair have appeared a whopping 13 times together in recent years, including in films and TV shows such as; Boiling Point, Walk Like A Panther, Funny Cow and Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Stephen’s latest on-screen performance will air later this month when he stars in the six-part Disney+ series, A Thousand Blows.
