Stephen Graham sent a heartfelt message to his daughter as she celebrated a special occasion. The actor has two children with his wife, Hannah Walters. They have a daughter named Grace, born in 2005, and a son named Alfie who was born in 2007.
The proud dad shared a photo to Instagram of his daughter sitting on his shoulders as he held her hands. He captioned the old snap: “Happy 21st my G. Forever”, alongside a red heart emoji.
Hannah shared a birthday message of her own for her daughter. She said: “To the brightest and most beautiful soul in the world. Love you with every breath I have. Happy 21st birthday Grace.”
During an interview with The Sunday Times, the actor gave fans an insight into being a dad, he said: “We have ups and downs, of course. Luckily, though, the relationship we both have with our children is beautiful — but it takes work.
He added: “I’m constantly hugging our Alfie and Grace.”
The 52-year-old has been married to Hannah since June 6, 2008. They first met and began dating while training at Rose Brutford College of Theatre and Performance. Hannah is also an actress, appearing in TV shows including Boiling Point, Malpractice and Time.

Their children largely remain out of the spotlight but occasionally appear on Stephen and Hannah’s Instagram pages or on the red carpet.
In an interview with GQ in 2022, Stephen also revealed that daughter Grace likes to joke with him. After watching This Is England, which starred both Stephen and Hannah, she said: “Wow, you’re actually good, I can see why people like you.”
Last month, Merseyside dominated the Golden Globes as Stephen won the award for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Limited Series for Adolescence. The show was directed by Huyton’s Philip Barantini, who was pictured celebrating with his fellow Scouser.
Claiming the award in January, Stephen said: “This is for all of our cast and crew. Every single member of this production, you have a piece of this, because without you, this is not in my hand so from the bottom of my heart, thank you all very much, especially Christine Tremarco who played my wife, the most beautiful dance partner.”
He also heaped praise on his family, he added: “I’ve said it before, but you’ve [wife] saved my life. You saved my life. And to my two beautiful children, Grace and Alfie, I love you to the moon and back forever.
“My dad, my pops, my hero, and I would just like to dedicate this particular award to my mum and all my friends and family, you all know exactly who you are, and without you, none of this is possible.”
