Thousands of fans headed to Anfield and the city centre to watch Liverpool win the Premier League yesterday. And among the crowds at Anfield were several famous faces.
The match was a big one for Liverpool as Arne Slot’s team had the chance to clinch the Premier League title. The players needed just one point against Tottenham to secure the coveted title which added an extra layer of intensity and anticipation to the day’s events.
Fortunately, Liverpool were on top form and converted the pressure into a decisive victory against Tottenham thrashing the Londoners 5-1. Numerous celebrities were in the stadium including popular actors like Millie Bobby Brown and Owen Cooper from Adolescence.

James Nelson-Joyce from This City Is Ours was also present at the game. James took to Instagram following the success as he wrote: “Love you always reds enjoy the celebrations”
Emmerdale’s Danny Miller posted a photograph of his TV from the comfort of his own sofa, he wrote: “Come on Reds.” The actor has been open about his passion for the squad as he was in attendance at the Carabao Cup final last year when the Reds triumphed over Chelsea in extra time.
The soap star won I’m A Celebrity in 2021 and received a gift from the club to mark his win.
Danish professional tennis player Caroline Wozniacki took to social media following the team’s triumph: “What a season!! Congrats @LFC.”
Additionally, a number of Liverpool legends were present, including Ian Rush, Kenny Dalglish, Alan Hansen, Robbie Fowler, Jan Mølby, and Michael Owen. Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen updated his 493,000 Instagram followers, he said: “Absolutely incredible being at Anfield today to witness @liverpoolfc win The Premier League.”
He later posted a photograph of himself alongside Curtis Jones and Andy Robertson on the pitch after the game. He captioned the post: “The celebrations have only just started…….”
Fans flooded the comments as one admitted: “I became a Liverpool fan because of you.” Another added: “My idol since day one in Liverpool. You made me love this beautiful club. Thank you.”
Liverpool star Jamie Carragher would usually be a major part of Sky’s coverage. But on this occasion, the former player was not sighted amidst the celebrations in the stadium and across the city.
Based on his social media activity, it appears that Carragher was attending the London Marathon where he was supporting his wife, Nicola.
Her completing the marathon means she has now finished all six Abbott World Marathon Majors after running in London, Tokyo, New York, Boston, Berlin and Chicago.
Carragher did however present his views on Liverpool’s triumph in his column for The Telegraph. He wrote: “It is an honour they must temporarily share with Manchester United, the giants of English football tied at 20-20. But there is massive symbolic importance in Slot wiping out the advantage, which owed everything to the genius of Sir Alex Ferguson.
“Slot’s instant success ends any debate about England’s most successful club. When you add Anfield’s six European Cups to the league tally, the last counter-argument they were clinging to at Old Trafford has been obliterated.”
