“Stars from This Morning, Loose Women, Emmerdale, and EastEnders Shine at TV Choice Awards as Winners Announced”

The TV Choice Awards 2025 took place in London last night, where the stars were out in force on the red carpet – and the glitzy ceremony saw some of Britain’s biggest celebrity names scoop the coveted trophies

The annual TV Choice Awards brought a number of stars to the red carpet at The Hilton on Park Lane, London on Monday 10 February. The glitzy event celebrated another fantastic year in television, with some of Britain’s biggest stars of the small screen bagging the industry’s most prestigious awards, as voted by the UK viewers.

This year marked the 28th ceremony, with Jason Manford making his debut as host. Among the winners, Si King clinched the Best Food Show award for The Hairy Bikers Go West, the final series he made with his dearly missed screen partner Dave Myers. Brenda Blethyn, 78, received an Outstanding Contribution Award, acknowledging her stellar performance in 14 series as Vera, Northumberland’s straight-talking detective.

TV favourites like Call The Midwife, Gogglebox and I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! added more trophies to their collection. Meanwhile, The Wheel celebrated its first win, taking home the Best Game Show award, reports the Mirror.

It was a night of triumph for Channel 5, which not only saw wins for two of its shows but was also named our readers’ Favourite Channel/Streaming Site.

The drama categories saw continued success for Mr Bates vs The Post Office, which bagged the Best New Drama award, while Toby Jones scooped up the prize for Best Drama Performance. Emmerdale also had a successful night with Beth Cordingly winning Best Soap Newcomer for her portrayal of Ruby Fox-Miligan and the show itself being named Best Soap, following its victory last year.

BBC’s Escape To The Country was named best daytime show, ITV’s Long Lost Family scooped best lifestyle show, and the BBC’s Ghosts took best comedy show. Best talent show went to the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, while Channel 5’s All Creatures Great And Small won best drama series, and the channel’s Springtime, Harvest and Winter On The Farm won best factual show.

Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan won best comedy performance for her role as Maggie in Channel 4’s Big Mood, while Peter Ash, who plays Paul Foreman in ITV soap Coronation Street, won best soap performance.
