Stacey Solomon’s TV replacements revealed as Love Island star takes her place

Stacey Solomon has been replaced on Channel 4’s Renovation Rescue, as new hosts have been announced for the second series of the show

Channel 4’s Renovation Rescue has announced the new hosts set to take over from Stacey Solomon. The show first aired in 2024 with Loose Women panellist and DIY Queen Stacey leading the charge, helping homeowners left stranded by their builders to complete their unfinished homes.

It was previously reported that Stacey was stepping back from the show to “focus on other projects” within the BBC, particularly her NTA-winning hit Sort Your Life Out. The star also had to quash rumours that she was leaving Loose Women after she was absent from their 25th anniversary photoshoot. In a heartfelt video message, Stacey said: “Happy birthday to you, Loose Women. I can’t believe you’re 25 years old and I can’t believe I get to call myself a Loose Woman, I’m such a proud Loose Woman! 25 incredible years and so many more to come. Love you loads and loads.”

Vogue Williams and Luke Mabbott

Now, it’s been revealed that presenter Vogue Williams and Love Island’s Luke Mabbott will be taking the reins of Renovation Rescue when it returns.

An excited Vogue said about the opportunity: “I’ve done a lot of exciting projects in my career, but I am so delighted to be given the opportunity to roll up my sleeves and get stuck into the second series of this truly brilliant show. “Home renovation is a huge passion of mine, and I am excited to put my degrees in Construction and Quantity Surveying to the test! I’m very happy to be joining forces with Luke – we get on like a house on fire and I think I’m gonna learn a lot of DIY skills from him,” reports the Manchester Evening News.

Luke, who found fame on Love Island in 2020 and is currently loved-up with fellow Islander Lucie Donlan, is also thrilled about the collaboration. He said: The fact that Channel 4 are putting their trust in me to be part of this series is just mind blowing to me, but I am so excited. I can’t wait to work with Vogue and help change the lives of people who need just a little bit of encouragement and some simple tips and tricks to make their dream project a reality.”

Clemency Green, Channel 4 commissioning editor, complimented Vogue’s “phenomenal talents” and highlighted the show as a platform for “nurture exciting new talent such as Luke,” adding, “I know for a fact that they will both bring their unique, warm and most importantly, authentic flare to the format and I can’t wait to see how the pair shine on screen.”
