Television personality Stacey Solomon has showed off an “exciting” new project she’s tackling at her Pickle Cottage home. The mum-of-five lapped up the good weather as she and her kids spent the majority of their day in the garden working hard together.
The Loose Women panelist was joined by her daughter Rose early in the morning to feed the family ducks – Daisy, Delilah, Daphne and Delphine Solomon-Swash.
Praising Rose’s help, Stacey told her Instagram followers: “She always gets up early with me and loves to help with the morning routine and I love having that special time with her.”
As the day progressed, the star was joined by the other members of the Solomon-Swash clan in their greenhouse. The team was hard at work adding fresh soil to eight new garden plots for a very “exciting” project.
Stacey revealed that she is in the process of creating what she calls a “tropical tunnel”. The 35-year-old filmed a time-lapse of herself and the children filling the plots and setting white stones to act as a walkway.
Once the preparations were completed, she said: “So exciting and so satisfying. This is where the hot fruit and veg will live, peppers, melons, tomatoes and nectarines.”
Stacey and her husband Joe Swash recently gave viewers a new insight to their lives with a fly on the wall television series, Stacey and Joe.
The couple were first introduced while filming ITV’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here in 2010, before starting a relationship in 2016. They later tied the knot in 2022.
Together they are raising five children, Zach, Leighton, Rex, Rose and Belle. The Loose Women host has 17-year-old Zachary and 12-year-old Leighton to previous partners.
The family live in a Tudor-style home in Essex, they moved into the home in March 2021. Pickle Cottage is reported to have cost £1.2m and over the years the couple have made plenty of changes to the property.
Filmed during the summer and autumn of 2024, the programme shows the couple as they celebrate their second wedding anniversary, revealing how they met and fell in love. It also documents Zach waiting for his GCSE results and Stacey winning at the National Television Awards.
