Stacey Solomon is preparing for the National Television Awards that take place later this month, September 10. The Sort Your Life Out presenter is up for two NTA awards and has shared a family update ahead of the ceremony.
The mum-of-five is up for the Best Presenter award for BBC’s Sort Your Life Out and is also nominated for Factual Entertainment category for her fly-on-the-wall reality show with husband Joe Swash. Posting a photo of son Leighton wearing a suit to Instagram, Stacey wrote: “Took the boys to rent a suit for the NTAs, Leighton can’t believe he gets to go this time.
“If you get a chance in your day today. It would mean the whole world to us if you vote for us, thank you for even getting us nominated in the first place so we get to go. Forever grateful to you all.” The post was shared alongside a white love heart emoji.
Last year, the Loose Women host was left speechless after she won the first award of the evening at the National Television Awards. Sort Your Life Out beat other programmes to clinch victory, including Gogglebox and Clarkson’s Farm.
Upon receiving the award, Stacey said: “It’s the hardest show ever to make and they work so, so hard. My amazing co-presenters. I’m so grateful I get to do a show like this, I want to thank the families who let us into their homes. If it wasn’t for the families, who opened their hearts to us, there wouldn’t be no Sort Your Life Out.”
In May, Stacey attended the BAFTA awards, where she was up for two awards, entertainment performance and factual entertainment for her BBC show. Despite being up for two awards, Stacey was unfortunate as she left the ceremony empty handed.
She missed out on entertainment performance to Joe Lycett’s Late Night Lycett on Channel 4 and in the second category to Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour, which airs on BBC Two.

She posted a video to her Instagram story the following morning, saying: “Good morning from the veg patch. I am just about to do the morning water.
“We didn’t win a BAFTA and I know I’m supposed to take it gracefully like a champ but I’ll be honest I’m devastated.” She laughed as she admitted that she wasn’t “handling it” very well or taking it very gracefully.
She expressed her feelings further by reiterating “I’m devastated for our whole team. Everyone got dressed up and really hopeful, I think because they worked so hard.”
Stacey told followers that ‘Sort Your Life Out’ is not an easy show to make and the team had worked hard to make it happen and they “deserved” the BAFTA award.
The presenter will be hoping to clinch more prizes at the upcoming award ceremony, alongside husband Joe. Stacey is mum to Zachary, 18, Leighton, 12, Rex, five, Rose, three, and Belle, two.
She welcomed her first son, Zachary, when she was 17 with her childhood sweetheart Dean Cox. She had Leighton with her ex-fiancé Aaron Barnham.
