Stacey Solomon has issued a plea for her followers ahead of this year’s National Television Awards. The TV star, who shot to fame on The X Factor in 2009, regularly shares an insight into her life away from the spotlight to her six million followers on social media.
The Sort Your Life Out presenter lives in Pickle Cottage with her husband Joe Swash. She is mum to Zachary, 18, Leighton, 12, Rex, five, Rose, three and Belle two. She welcomed her first son, Zachary, when she was 17 with her childhood sweetheart Dean Cox. She had Leighton with her ex-fiancé Aaron Barnham.
In a recent update on Instagram, Stacey spoke to fans about her current “pickle” as both of her shows have been listed against each other in the same category at the NTA’s.
The mum-of-five explained her situation on social media. She said: “Sort Your Life Out and Stacey and Joe are up for NTA’s which is just so cool.
“Thank you so much I know obviously it’s your vote that gets us there so I’m just so grateful. It really means so much to the whole teams that work on those shows.”
Stacey and Joe, which aired earlier this year, takes fans right into the heart of life at Pickle Cottage. Filmed during the summer and autumn of 2024, the programme showed the couple as they celebrated their second wedding anniversary, revealing how they met and fell in love. It also documented Zach waiting for his GCSE results and Stacey winning at the National Television Awards last year.

However, Sort Your Life Out also features the lovable Stacey in a different role. The team are tasked with helping families up and down the country clear out their clutter and start a fresh in their homes.
Despite both shows having very different themes, they have both been placed in the same category at the National Television Awards and Stacey has devised a plan so they have the best chance of claiming a prize.
The Loose Women star explained: “We are in a bit of a pickle though because Stacey and Joe and Sort Your Life Out, for some strange reason, are in the same category.
“They’re not in the same category in terms of shows, but the NTA’s have put us both against each other. So we’re probably not going to win either because we’re pitted against each other in Factual Entertainment which is really weird, I don’t know why they’ve done that.”
After speaking to the teams on both shows, Stacey explained she has thought of a plan so both shows are in with a chance of winning.
While Sort Your Life Out is up for an award for the show itself, it has also been featured in the Best Presenter category for Stacey herself. So, Stacey has suggested that fans vote for Sort Your Life Out in that category instead, leaving their other votes for Stacey and Joe in the Factual Entertainment section.
She said: “I’m up for Best Presenter, which is really cool, but it’s best presenter for Sort Your Life Out so it’s basically Sort Your Life Out’s award in the Best Presenter category.”
Stacey explained she “hated” asking fans for their vote, but went on to explain it would be an “absolute dream” to win at the awards ceremony.
She told her followers: “It would be amazing if you could vote for Stacey and Joe in the Factual Entertainment category, and then for me as Best Presenter in the presenter category.” She added: “I hate this so much.”
The TV star continued: “Because then Sort Your Life Out would win that award because it’s not about me presenting, it’s about Sort Your Life Out.” She concluded: “So, Sort Your Life Out would win one and Stacey and Joe would win one and that would be the absolute dream!”
