Rylan Clark has sent a message of support to two of his celebrity friends. The presenter took to Instagram to wish Loose Women’s Ruth Langsford a belated Happy Birthday after she celebrated yesterday, he also sent well wishes to Emma Willis who celebrates her birthday today.
Sharing a selfie alongside Ruth, Rylan wrote “Happy birthday to the TV mum. Love you the world @ruthlangsford”, he added that the post “didn’t upload” yesterday and Ruth had informed him about the lack of a birthday message.
The two have formed a close bond and in January both enjoyed a night out together. The presenter was videoed by Rylan dancing to Montell Jordan’s, ‘This Is How We Do It’. Ruth shared footage on her own socials capturing Rylan dancing to Shakira’s iconic number, ‘Hips Don’t Lie.
Rylan and Ruth have presented This Morning together on numerous occasions and she has referred to him as her ‘TV son’ previously. She reposted the picture uploaded by Rylan of the two to her own Instagram stories, captioning it “better late than never” alongside laughing face emojis.

Sharing further well wishes, Rylan also sent a Happy Birthday message to The Voice presenter Emma Willis. The 36-year-old wrote “Happy birthday to the TV wife. Wouldn’t wanna be married to anyone else. Don’t tell Matt. Love you @EmmaWillisofficial.”
Emma and Rylan have worked together on several TV shows including Big Brother and This Morning. Emma’s most recent social media post includes a picture of her embracing in a hug with the former X Factor star. They have remained close friends since meeting through Big Brother.
Continuing his string of supportive messages to celebrity friends, Rylan shared that he had received a text from This Morning’s Alison Hammond who wanted to know where fit fitted into the ‘TV mum’ and TV wife’ category. A screenshot uploaded by Rylan stated: “Just got a text off @AlisonHammond55, annoyed I’ve got a TV mum and wife.

“As per her request she is now my TV sister. And that’s that.” Alison, who has been on This Morning since January 2003, is another close friend of Rylan’s and part of the tight-knit This Morning presenters.
In his busy schedule, Rylan revealed earlier this month that he has kept a secret for “nearly a year” as he shared his latest career move. The TV personality will be playing a role in the much-loved BBC show Doctor Who.
The 36-year-old star will play himself on the show, it will be a Eurovision special of the BBC sci-fi series that will air to coincide with the real-life song contest in May. He will act as the host of the Interstellar Song Contest. Rylan spoke of his pride at landing a role in a programme that he is a huge fan of.
After the announcement of his casting, Rylan said in a statement: “As a massive Whovian, getting the call to be in Doctor Who was a call I’ve always dreamed of getting.
“This episode is all my favourite things about the show with an added song contest set in space. It really is a dream come true. I can’t wait for everyone to see it. It is going to be out of this world.”
