Ryan Gravenberch and his girlfriend Cindy Peroti have announced they are to become parents for the first time. The Liverpool midfielder has been a crucial part of Liverpool’s title-winning team this season after being deployed in a defensive midfield position by head coach and fellow Dutchman Arne Slot.
The midfielder was part of the jubilant celebrations last month as Liverpool clinched their 20th league title following a 5-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
Away from the pitch, he is in a relationship with Cindy Peroti. Cindy regularly shares her support for the Reds on Instagram. She has shared several pictures this season of her watching Liverpool games from the stands.
When Gravenberch joined Liverpool in August 2023, she shared a snap alongside the midfielder as they both held the Red shirt. She said: “A new beginning.”
In an Instagram post a few days ago, the couple announced their special news. Gravenberch shared a picture of several polaroid pictures, which showed a baby scan, Cindy with a baby bump and Gravenberch holding up a baby Liverpool top.
In the caption, he said: “We have been keeping a secret, we can’t wait to meet you.” The post received over 100,000 likes and many of his teammates sent their congratulations in the comments.
Scouse midfielder Curtis Jones, forward Cody Gakpo and defender Virgill Van Dijk left supportive emojis. Attacking midfielder Harvey Elliott added: “Congratulations my bro.” Wirral-born midfielder Tyler Morton added: “Congrats to the both of you mate.”
Bayer Leverkusen right-back Jeremie Frimpong, who plays with Gravenberch for the Dutch national team, said: “Ryan laaaaaa, congratulations to both of you.”
Darts player and Liverpool fan Stephen Bunting added: “Congrats mate.” Other fans sent messages of support. One said: “Amazing news bro! What a year for you.”
Another said: “Champion baby.” A third added: “Cindy and Ryan, congratulations to you both. What gorgeous news to round off a brilliant week after Sunday. Cindy, I hope you have a beautiful pregnancy.”
After the Tottenham match, WAGs including Cindy joined their partners at the party. She shared a picture with Gravenberch at the event, held in one of the hospitality areas of Anfield with the caption: “Champions!”
Curtis Jones’s girlfriend, Saffie Khan, attended with their daughter, Giselle. She posted a sweet photo of the two of them with the caption: “Daddy did it.”
Saffie also reshared a video posted by Liverpool FC which showed the players’ celebrating on the pitch at the end of the game. She wrote: “The best, beyond proud of you.”
Luis Diaz’s partner, Gera Ponce, shared a photo of herself with Lorena, Diogo Jota’s partner Rute Cardoso, and Alisson’s wife Natalia Becker. They all raised a glass of champagne in one of Anfield’s hospitality suites to celebrate Liverpool’s success.
Diogo Jota’s girlfriend Rute Cardoso posted a selection of snaps from the special day including a selfie with Diogo as well as a photograph of their dogs dressed in LFC jerseys.
Rute captioned the post with lyrics to ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’. Darwin Nunez’s partner, Lorena Mañas was also present at the match. She looked glamorous in a green outfit paired with a matching Hermes Birkin bag. Joe Gomez’s wife, Tamara shared a video from inside the stadium, captioning the post, “Goosebumps.”
