“Ruth Langsford not ready to date after Eamonn Holmes split – but eyes 2025 as her year”

Ruth Langsford split from her husband Eamonn Holmes in May last year, after 14 years of marriage, and 27 years together – but 2025 is set to be her year

Last year was a tough one for Loose Women’s Ruth Langsford, who split from her husband Eamonn Holmes in May after 14 years of marriage and 27 years together. And now, a source has claimed that friends are encouraging the star to start dating again, but she’s not quite ready yet. The split must have been incredibly hard for Ruth, especially when Eamonn was seen with his new girlfriend, Katie Alexander, 42, just months later. They finally went public as a couple at the star-studded TRIC Awards in December.

However, as the saying goes, you can’t keep a good woman down. A source has said that 2025 could be the year when Ruth, who has recently undergone a glamorous transformation, lets her hair down and starts dating again. While Ruth is ready to move on from Eamonn, the much-loved presenter isn’t quite ready to start dating again. “She’s not ready to date, it’s not her priority and she just wants to have fun,” the source claimed. “Her friends are all telling her to, but she’s not there yet.”.

However, sources say that the upcoming year is set to be a positive one for the TV presenter. “This is Ruth’s year – she wants all good vibes and positive energy. She wants to be surrounded by good people and is putting all of her energy into her new range of clothes with QVC, work and having a great time”.

The 64 year old star, who recently debuted a fresh and youthful hairstyle, was seen partying with close friends Lizzie Cundy and ‘TV son’ Rylan Clark. During a night out in London, Ruth was filmed by Rylan singing along to Montell Jordan’s hit This Is How We Do It, with Rylan affectionately calling her a “saucy mare”.

Ruth returned the favour by posting a video of the Radio 2 DJ dancing to Shakira’s Hips Don’t Lie on her Instagram Stories. After spending her first Christmas without her estranged husband last year, it seems Ruth is ready to move forward and leave the past behind. “Ruth is showing Eamonn what he’s missing by going out and having fun, but she’s put him in the past and doesn’t want to focus on his relationship.”

A source has revealed, “She doesn’t want to think about the past, she really has moved on. She’s been surrounding herself with friends and people she can have a good time with. She has put Eamonn and Katie on the backburner – they’re not in her brain, she’s moved forward.”

With her gigs on Loose Women and a booming clothing line on QVC, career-wise, she’s smashing it. “She’s getting so many work offers and is in a really good place,” the insider dished. “She is leaving the past behind her and focusing on having fun this year after a hard time in 2024.”

Post-split from Eamonn, Ruth is looking fabulously fit, diving into a fresh health and diet regime. Her social feeds are dotted with snaps of protein-packed lunches like boiled eggs, turkey, and salad, plus homemade green juices bursting with ginger, spinach, cucumber, pineapple, apple and water. Speaking to her fans, Ruth shared, “I take this to work most days,” noting that it keeps her from munching on processed snacks.

Ruth Langsford is getting all the love from her Loose Women pals, especially BFF Coleen Nolan who’s been singing her praises. Coleen gushed about Ruth’s transformation, saying, “She’s also had such a glow-up. She looks better than I think I’ve seen her in years, she looks like she’s lost 10 years. Not that she didn’t look great before, but now she looks fabulous and she’s working really hard and she’s just getting on with it.”

As Ruth navigates through her divorce, Coleen – who’s also trying to move forward after her own split from Michael Jones last year – shared, “She’s been amazing. I’m not one to give advice, but I’ve just been there when she’s wanted to vent or wanted to just talk about it. I really admire her, she’s been so classy through the whole thing and just got on with it.”

With both women supporting each other through thick and thin, including the recent loss of Coleen’s sister Linda, they’re proving that friendship can weather any storm. While Ruth’s future romances remain a mystery, for now, she’s clearly thriving and embracing life to the fullest.
