“Robbie Williams’ wife ‘instantly began to cry’ after receiving an emotional message from her husband.”

Robbie and Ayda have four children together

Robbie Williams wrote a moving message for his wife Ayda yesterday, to mark Mother’s Day. The couple have four children together, Theodora Rose, 12, Charlton Valentine, nine, Colette Josephine, six, and Beau Benedict, five.

On Instagram the former Take That member wrote: “To the mother of my children, and the one to whom my loyalty, honour and respect are joyfully given. You’ve told a story to yourself about your lack of strength. This has been true.”

He continued: “We fell in love not by chance, but by truly observing one another – feeling deep in our hearts the overwhelming, beautiful gifts we each bring to ourselves, to each other, and to the world.”

The 45-year-old American actress first met Robbie in 2006 when they were set up on a blind date. They got married in a ceremony at their Beverly Hills home in 2010 with friends and family in attendance. It has been a busy few months for the Williams’ family following the release of Robbie’s biopic ‘Better Man’ in December.

Robbie revealed in his heartfelt message that he didn’t marry someone “incapable”, he married someone “overqualified for almost every part of this human journey.” Although they met 19 years ago, the singer admitted the thought of Ayda “remains wondrous” to him.

The 51-year-old finished his message: “We’ve got this. Together. We can walk through anything. I promise. Thank you for this life my queen. Happy Mother’s Day. And as ever I adore you.”

Fans of the ‘Angels’ hitmaker were moved by his kind words to his wife. One fan wrote: “Truly beautiful and made my eyes leak reading it… you guys and your little family are just everything.” A second added ” Beautifully said, Rob. Sending so much love and strength to you all.”

More comments included: “Well I’m not crying over here. The most beautiful words, from a beautiful man” and “Goosebumps reading this, you’re both so lucky to have each other.”

In response, Ayda shared a picture of her and Robbie to her own Instagram account. She captioned it: “I just woke up and read my hubby’s Mother’s Day post to me. I instantly began to cry. Happy tears. Profound tears. Grateful tears.

“And everything in between. Thank you Boo. All of me sees all of you back. And I’m one lucky gal. To all the mummies out there, you are all Herculean and have my utmost respect. Now, I’m gonna get busy and spend the rest of my day hanging in my bed with my wolf pack.”

February saw Robbie thank fans as he shared the news that his latest album was a UK number 1 album. It was a landmark 15th UK number one album for the singer as a solo artist. The ‘Better Man (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)’ was the soundtrack of the biopic.

The movie included re-recorded and arranged versions of some of Robbie’s classic songs, as well as his original song “Forbidden Road”. The songs appeared at pivotal moments in the film about Robbie’s life with She’s the One, Angels and Let Me Entertain You all appearing in the movie.

After the incredible number one album achievement, Robbie said: “Thank you to everyone who has supported the album and the movie. What a huge honour it is to get my 15th UK number one album. A special thank you to all my fans, whose support I never take for granted.”
