Peter Crouch said “this needs to stop” as he opened up about a problem he is encountering with wife Abbey Clancy at night. The former England footballer met Abbey in 2005.
The couple married in 2009 and now share their home with children Sophia, Liberty, Johnny and Jack as well as their pets. They often share the highs and lows of their married life on their The Therapy Crouch podcast.
In a recent episode, Abbey, 29, told listeners the couple had a “night-time intruder”. She revealed they had been looking after her mum’s dog, Bella, who joined them on their bed.
Peter, 44, joked: “I almost videod last night, I wish I had. I woke up and I had, I can’t even remember who was next to me, I think it was Liberty next to me. We had a dog that’s not ours, Bella, so we had Lib, Abbey, Bella, and our cat on the pillow.”
Abbey then went on to share that the couple’s cat has also been contributing to the sleep disruptions: “She’s changed her position now.”

Describing the feline’s new sleeping spot, she added: “She’s changed her position, which does my head in. Normally, I’d lie on the pillow and she’d lie next to me, a little bit of mattress. Now she’s fully spread out lying on top of the pillow.”
Former Liverpool striker Peter then revealed he had been sleeping “on the side table”. He added: “Where does this end?
“We need to nip this in the bud, this needs to stop now. It’s got to stop, I’m going to put an end to that tonight. We’re not getting a proper night’s sleep.”

Abbey recalled her first encounter with Peter in Liverpool back in 2005 during a chat on Good Morning Britain, sharing the cheeky start to their romance: “When we first met, he begged me for my number and then I went to the loo or the bar, and when I came back, he was talking to another girl. I was like, ‘How dare you?'”.
Peter apparently tried to smooth things over, insisting he was “just talking” but Abbey wasn’t having any of it, promptly asking for her number back. To which he retorted: “I said, ‘You can’t give someone your number and then take it back’.”
Despite the initial bump in the road, their relationship blossomed and the couple tied the knot on June 30, 2011. According to OK! , the family live in a “magical” Surrey mansion complete with its own cinema room and a huge garden.
The family’s opulent pad features prominently on Abbey’s social media, showcasing Peter at his grand wooden desk crowned with a football trophy and giving followers peeks of the garden’s pool and play area.
The couple are said to have moved into the luxurious property in 2016.
