Peter Crouch hit back at Abbey Clancy as the pair mocked each other over a recent sports day escapade. The couple have four children, Sophia Ruby, Liberty Rose, Johnny, and Jack. Peter popped the question in 2009 before the couple tied the knot in June 2011 in a lavish ceremony with family, friends and fellow celebs.
The couple regularly share insights into their relationship on The Therapy Crouch podcast. They launched the podcast two years ago and have seen remarkable success from the relatable show. Each episode, Abbey shares one experience which has annoyed her over the last week which she refers to as her “weekly whine”.
In a recent episode, Abbey and Peter reflected on their children’s’ sports day in which Peter took part in the dads’ race. Abbey described the day as “amazing.” She said: “Our school sports days are amazing. They have big marquees and they decorate them all with balloons.”

Peter added: “Jack did great, fantastic, he got a couple of medals.” When asked about how he got on in the dad’s sprint race, the former Liverpool striker said: “It went alright I was a strong fourth.” He joked: “Champions League spot.”
He appeared to be disappointed by his performance with many people expecting him to win the race. Peter added: “There’s some rapid dads, I lost out to one of my good friends. It’s not ideal for me. People expect me to win but I was quite a slow footballer so I shouldn’t really be expected to win.”
Pete also shared how he often feels the pressure from his wife to do well. He said: “She gives me loads of grief about doing it and not letting our son down.”
But he soon hit back at Abbey who admitted she didn’t take part in the mums’ race. Pete mocked Abbey for missing out on the race, who joked: “It’s not about that, my womb would fall out if I did a 100m sprint.”
The mum-of-four explained she feels “shy” around the other mums and doesn’t feel comfortable taking part in the race in front of spectators.
She told her husband: “It’s the fact there’s spectators that makes me worry, I’m shy.” She added: “The lady who won she’s a proper runner and my mum was like ‘these should be in the Olympics these women’.”
The couple then got straight into this week’s dilemmas where fans write in to ask for advice. In this particular episode, one listener asked about her partner’s drinking habits while another asked what do when her partner refuses to brush his teeth.
Abbey and Peter paid a visit to Liverpool earlier this year. Peter Crouch joined the LFC Legends squad for a charity match in aid of LFC foundation.
The 44-year-old dad-of-four dusted off his football boots as the team took on Chelsea at Anfield on Saturday, March 23. Peter, who was introduced as a half-time substitute scored twice securing Liverpool Legends the win.
Abbey took to social media soon after the match to express how “proud” she was of her husband. She wrote: “What an incredible day. I’m so proud of my husband. Never thought I’d see him score at Anfield again!! Two goals, wow!!!
“Great catching up with old friends and being back in my home city thank you @thelfcfoundation for making us feel so welcome and looking after us all so well and to the guys at @lfcretail who made the kids’ day lots of love #YNWA.”
