Paddy ‘the Baddy’ Pimblett was supported after sharing a ‘gorgeous’ family update. The MMA fighter is preparing for his next fight and is currently unbeaten in the UFC.
Away from the cage, the 30 year-old from Huyton is married to Laura Gregory. The couple have twins together called Betsy and Margot Pimblett.
Their daughters were born last April and Paddy regularly shares updates about his family life on his Instagram page. In a new video on his profile which was posted yesterday, Paddy posted an adorable clip with one of his twins in a restaurant.
As Paddy looked at the menu, his baby turned to the camera before looking at Paddy. She then proceeded to poke her dad in the eye, causing Paddy to wince and say “ow”.
Paddy captioned the post “That baby strength” and added a crying with laughter emoji. The clip was liked over 6,000 times and many people sent their support to Paddy’s family.
His close friend and fellow UFC fighter ‘Meatball’ Molly McCann said: “Definitely your kid isn’t she haha.” Another fan of Paddy’s said: “Look at her, she’s a gorgeous soul.” A third person added: “So cute.” A fourth person added: “The only person to make Paddy say ow.”
Paddy visited Liverpool FC’s training ground recently to speak to the Liverpool under 18s team. When asked how he was finding life as a dad of twins during a Q&A session, he replied: “It’s hard work. Proper hard work.”
This drew laughs from the audience but Paddy went on to give out some honest advice. He urged the young footballers to try and shut out any difficulties they might be facing in their personal lives when they enter the field.
He said: ”You can’t think about any negatives going into a fight or a match. If I’m going into a fight and I’m 98 percent positive, sure of myself and believe in myself, that two percent is going to override the 98 percent and I’m not going to win. The main thing for me is to believe in myself.”
