Ozzy Osbourne’s Soft Side: His Heartwarming Relationship with His Grandchildren

Ozzy Osbourne has always had a strong sense of family — something beautifully highlighted by his former daughter-in-law, Lisa Stelly.

Lisa, who was married to Ozzy’s son Jack Osbourne, recently posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, sharing a series of sweet photos showing the rock legend spending time with his grandchildren.

The images made it clear just how much love and affection there is between Ozzy and the little ones.

Lisa Stelly paid a heartfelt tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, writing, “The world got Ozzy. We got Papa. One of one. Larger than life.” She added, “It hurts to say goodbye, but what a gift it was to have him. We will never stop missing you.”

Alongside her emotional words, Lisa shared a series of personal photos and videos capturing special moments with Ozzy over the years. The touching memories included a vacation snapshot with his grandkids, a photo of Ozzy painting beside one of Lisa’s children, and a sweet moment of him cradling a grandchild during a flight.

Lisa was married to Jack Osbourne from 2012 to 2019, and together they share three children: Pearl (13), Andy (10), and Minnie (7).

Ozzy Osbourne is a father of six — he shares Louis, Jessica, and Elliot with his first wife, Thelma Riley, and Aimee, Kelly, and Jack with his longtime wife, Sharon Osbourne, whom he’s been married to for 43 years.

Beyond his role as a dad, Ozzy is also a proud grandfather to a large and loving family. He has grandkids through Lisa’s children with Jack, as well as Louis’ kids, Elijah and Maia; Jessica’s children, Isabelle, Harry, and Kitty; Jack’s youngest daughter, Maple, from his second marriage to Aree Gearhart; and Kelly’s son, Sidney.

Jack Osbourne gave fans a peek into Ozzy’s life as a granddad during a 2023 interview with Fox News Digital. When asked about diaper duty, Jack laughed, saying, “My dad is like, ‘Hell, no. Like, no.’” He explained that Ozzy comes from a generation where dads simply didn’t handle diapers — “That’s not what dads do,” he joked.

Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22 at his home in Birmingham, England, following a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.

In a heartfelt family statement, they shared, “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family’s privacy at this time.”

His daughter Kelly Osbourne, who was especially close to her father, posted an emotional tribute on Instagram. Alongside a broken heart emoji, she wrote, “I feel unhappy I am so sad. I lost the best friend I ever had.”

Kelly’s tribute echoed lyrics from the Black Sabbath classic “Changes” — a song she famously recorded as a duet with her father back in 2003, making the moment even more poignant.

While Jack Osbourne has not yet spoken publicly following the passing of his 76-year-old father, he had shared touching reflections about Ozzy just weeks earlier. During a screening of the 2020 documentary The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne, Jack opened up about his dad’s incredible journey and legacy, offering a heartfelt glimpse into how much Ozzy meant to those closest to him.

Reflecting on his father, Jack Osbourne shared three words that summed up Ozzy best: “Funny, unique, and powerful.” Speaking to the audience, he added, “He is an incredible man. He really is. His contribution to music is bigger than his faults. This whole weekend has been emotional.”

Just a day after those touching remarks, Ozzy took to the stage for what would be his final performance, the Back to the Beginning concert in his hometown of Birmingham. In front of 40,000 devoted fans, the Prince of Darkness gave one last unforgettable show, closing a legendary chapter in rock history.
