Olly Murs apologizes after abruptly leaving the stage just a week after Liverpool show.

Olly Murs has apologised to fans at his Glagsow show

Olly Murs had to make the difficult decision to cut short one of the shows on his ongoing UK tour, marking a rare and emotional moment in his 15-year music career. Currently celebrating his journey in the industry with the 15 Years of Hits tour, the pop star brought his energy to venues across the UK, including a recent stop in Liverpool where fans were treated to a full two-hour spectacle featuring beloved tracks like Dear Darling and Troublemaker.

However, the tone shifted dramatically during his performance in Glasgow at the OVO Hydro Arena. Just six songs into the show, the 41-year-old was forced to walk off stage due to vocal issues, leaving fans disappointed and concerned.

Olly later addressed the situation on Instagram, offering a heartfelt apology to his Glasgow audience. He explained that although he felt slightly run down beforehand, he had no reason to believe he wouldn’t be able to complete the concert. “I walked out tonight thinking my voice was great,” he said. “But after a few songs, I just couldn’t go on. I’ve never done this in 15 years of performing. You guys deserve the best version of me, and I couldn’t give you that tonight. I’m truly sorry from the bottom of my heart.”

Despite the setback, Olly expressed hope that he would be able to continue the tour, with upcoming shows scheduled in Manchester, Birmingham, and London.

Just days earlier, in Liverpool, he was in high spirits as he promised the crowd a “new Murs era,” even debuting a new single titled Save Me. The atmosphere at the M&S Bank Arena was electric, with fans reveling in both the upbeat hits and more emotional moments. One particularly touching part of the evening came when Olly performed Dear Darling, dedicating the ballad to his late friend and former X Factor co-host, Caroline Flack, who passed away in 2020. He shared, “I think about her every day,” and encouraged fans to reflect on loved ones they’ve lost. The audience responded with a moving sea of lights from their phones, singing every word alongside him.

In a lighter, more playful moment, Olly gave the stage to his band, allowing them to pick a funny throwback photo from his career to display on a giant screen. In Liverpool, the chosen image showed him touching the famous “This Is Anfield” sign at Liverpool FC’s stadium—an image that sparked mixed reactions from the crowd. Liverpool supporters cheered, while Everton fans booed in jest. Olly then stirred the crowd even more by revealing, “I’m a Manchester United fan,” which drew a wave of good-natured jeers. Laughing, he teased, “Shall I go?”—only for the crowd to cheer even louder, urging him to continue the show.

Despite the unexpected hiccup in Glasgow, Olly Murs remains a fan favorite for his charisma, honesty, and dedication to his audience. He continues to celebrate an impressive career filled with hits, humor, and heartfelt moments that resonate deeply with his fans.
