Olly Murs admits the ‘honeymoon period is over’ as he opens up about changes in his relationship with wife Amelia.

Olly Murs has opened up about how becoming a dad to two young children has completely reshaped both his music and his marriage to wife Amelia Tank.

The 41-year-old singer, who was honoured with the Silver Heart Award at the 2025 Variety Club Showbusiness Awards in London on Sunday night, revealed that life with two babies under two has been “beautifully chaotic.”

Speaking exclusively to Entertainment Daily, Olly reflected on how his creative process and relationship have evolved. “Three years ago, when I wrote my Marry Me album, Amelia and I didn’t have kids. It was all a honeymoon period — I was like, ‘Oh, I love you, you’re amazing, you’re incredible,’” he said with a smile.

“But this new record is cheekier. The honeymoon period’s definitely over, but in a fun way. We’re talking about other things now — nappies, sleepless nights — but it’s still a celebration of love.”

His upcoming album Knees Up, out next month, marks his first release in three years and sees him experimenting with ska-inspired sounds. “It’s nice to finally make an album I really wanted to make,” he shared. “For a long time, I did what the fans wanted — now, this one’s for me.”

Olly and Amelia, who tied the knot in 2023, are parents to daughter Madison, born last year, and baby boy Albert, born just last month. Despite the sleepless nights, Olly admitted he feels nothing but gratitude. “I feel truly blessed to have two children — and even luckier that I’ve got a girl and a boy,” he said proudly.

When asked whether the couple might expand their family, Olly laughed. “Who knows? We’re happy. Amelia might change her mind, but right now we’re on the same page — and that’s all that matters.”
