Olivia Attwood has broken her silence about her former beau Chris Hughes joining the Celebrity Big Brother 2025 lineup.
The pair’s whirlwind romance kicked off in 2017 when they met on Love Island, but their love story came to an end after a seven-month stint.
Chris, now 32, is ready to dive back into the reality TV scene, joining the likes of Nickelodeon sensation JoJo Siwa, ex-EastEnder Patsy Palmer, and Coronation Street heartthrob Jack P Shepherd in the Celebrity Big Brother house. Reports suggest he’ll be raking in a modest £45,000 for his time as a celeb housemate, a sum on the lower end of the pay scale given his relatively faded Love Island fame.
During a chat on her KISS radio show, co-host Pete Wicks talked about Chris’s upcoming appearance, teasing Olivia with: “Your ex is on it!” Olivia’s response was laced with awkwardness, admitting: “It will be weird to see someone I’ve dated in that environment.”

She confessed that she hasn’t had a word with Chris in years, not since their split and her subsequent reunion with ex Bradley Dack, whom she married in 2023. Last month, Olivia spilled the tea on her rocky romance with Chris, confessing that their love story hit the skids once they ditched the Love Island villa for Blighty.
The telly star said that Chris shacked up in her pad almost as soon as they touched down, cranking up the dial on their already sizzling relationship, reports the Mirror.
Chatting with Love Island All Stars 2025 champ Gabby Allen on her podcast, Olivia revealed: “I moved him into my own home, I mean like a week after leaving the villa. And we weren’t even getting on. So he moved in with a bag and was like, ‘I hate you.’ And I was like, ‘I f****** hate you. There’s the bathroom and there’s your cupboard.”

The drama didn’t stop there, folks. Katie Price threw a spanner in the works, claiming Chris had been sending her cheeky texts while he was still with Olivia. Despite Chris playing innocent, Katie, aged 46, stuck to her guns, calling him a “liar” and swearing she had the receipts.
It all kicked off at the ITV Palooza bash in 2018 when Katie cornered Chris, alleging she had 51 screenshots of his flirty banter in her arsenal.
Olivia, who was fiercely loyal to her then-beau, publicly defended him and took a swipe at Katie in her magazine columns. Meanwhile, Chris hit back on Twitter, venting: “I done with this s*** now. You’re looking to get back at me, your desperate. Stop sending threatening voice notes to my girlfriend too.”

As time passed, the animosity seemed to mellow. Olivia later conceded that Chris had indeed messaged Katie. Reflecting on her actions at the time, she confessed: “I chose to stand by him at that time.”
Questioning her own judgement, she said: “I had known him for two months, how am I to know what he was doing?” In 2018, she attempted to justify her decision, stating: “All I know is that whether he did or didn’t, he didn’t sleep with her. It was just a couple of messages.”
The saga made a comeback on Olivia’s podcast So Right It’s Wrong last year, where Katie defended her decision to spill the beans, citing her commitment to sisterhood. “Chris Hughes was messaging me and he was with you [Olivia], and we were at the NTA Awards,” she explained.

“And because I’m such an honest person and a girls girl, I was like, ‘I’m going to have to tell her and it’s true’.”
Katie detailed the confrontation: “I was like, ‘There’s so much to tell you,’ and I was showing you them. I said, ‘If you don’t want to believe me, don’t, but I’ve got no reason to lie to you at all.’ I remember we were at some awards, and him and Kem were on stage, and I put my hand up and was like, ‘Show us all the texts then, Chris.'”.
Olivia recalled the turmoil, stating: “At this point he was in the media calling Katie a liar. She heckled him at the ITV Palooza.”
Katie stood firm, saying: “I hate people that lie, don’t lie, and don’t be ashamed of me. If you’re alright to text me, don’t be ashamed of me, don’t lie.”
