“Mollie King opens up about the ‘tricky’ few weeks after welcoming her second child.”

Mollie King has candidly shared her experience of becoming a mum for the second time, confessing she’s been firmly in ‘survival mode’ since welcoming baby Lilliana. The ex member of The Saturdays and her fiancé Stuart Broad, who also have 19-month-old Annabella, were ecstatic to introduce a new daughter into their lives at the close of the previous year.

Following the arrival of their little one, Mollie’s partner – the famed cricketer – jetted off to South Africa for work commitments. But now that he’s back home, the pop star couldn’t be happier about enjoying precious moments with their family of four.

The seasoned 37 year old explained how the initial weeks with her second child mirrored those with her first, marked by the demands and sleepless nights typical of new motherhood. Speaking to MailOnline, she recounted, “I feel like the first few weeks – it was the same with Annabella – I did find it quite tricky,” adding that “You’re just really in that sort of survival mode of, you’re up all night, you’re feeding constantly, but now I’m at that stage where I’m really able to sort of enjoy it and take the most of each moment.”

Even though she faced challenges, Mollie revealed to the media outlet that having a second child felt smoother compared to when she became a first-time mum. She admitted arriving into motherhood with her firstborn Annabella knowing next to nothing about what to expect.

Mollie shared the joyous news of her second daughter’s arrival with a heartwarming black and white photo featuring four hands—hers, her fiancé’s, and those of their two little ones. In the caption, she expressed her elation: “Welcome to the world beautiful baby Liliana. We are bursting with happiness! You are the most perfect Christmas gift our little family could have ever wished for,” reports the Mirror.

Stuart echoed the sentiment by reposting the announcement on his Instagram story, adding: “Happy New Year to you all! The end of 2024 was very special being in our little newborn bubble.”

The couple first revealed they were expecting again back in August 2024, with an adorable social media snap that showed Stuart planting a kiss on Mollie’s bump as he carried their first daughter Annabella on his shoulders.

“Our baby girl is going to become a big sister. We can’t wait to meet you, little one,” Mollie captioned the touching image.

In a candid chat with OK! about her pregnancy experience, Mollie admitted: “I’m feeling physically pretty tired at the moment. It’s hard to know if it’s the fact I’m running after a toddler 24/7 or the fact that I’m carrying a little one in my belly, but the combination is certainly keeping me on the move! Sitting down in the evenings comes as a great treat each night.”
