Maya Jama was left red-faced after making an awkward blunder during an appearance on This Morning, where she accidentally compared a Love Island contestant to a frog
Love Island’s fabulous host Maya Jama is gearing up to welcome back a bevvy of the show’s most memorable stars for the much-anticipated All Star series. However, the stunning presenter had a giggle-worthy moment on This Morning when discussing the star-studded line-up, as she accidentally likened one of the Love Island alumni to a frog.
ITV has just dropped the bombshell that is the full 2025 line-up for Love Island: All Stars, featuring fan favourites like Gabby Allen from series three, Kaz Crossley from series four, Luca Bish from series eight, and Curtis Pritchard from series five. Spilling the tea about Curtis’ comeback on All Stars, Maya gushed to This Morning’s dynamic duo Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, saying she can’t wait to see him swoon over someone new.
“I have no idea who he’s going to fancy but he’s such a lover boy, he’ll fall for somebody and he’s just got the cutest little heart as well,” she enthused. “I’m really, really excited to see Curtis in there. He’s had his rounds, he’s gone through a few of them. This is the one where he finds [love].”
However, when Cat and Ben pointed out that Curtis “broke Amy Hart’s heart” during their 2019 series, Maya made the hilarious slip-up of calling Amy a “frog”. She said: “You know what – he’s on the hunt for love. Sometimes you’ve got to kiss a few frogs or whatever they call it. So hopefully now he finds his sweetheart,” reports the Mirror.
Maya quickly followed up by clarifying that she didn’t mean to call anyone a frog. “Not that anyone’s a frog!” she said. “No one’s a frog!”
Curtis – the brother of Strictly Come Dancing star AJ Pritchard – rose to fame in 2019 when he took part in Love Island, originally pairing up with Amy before ending their relationship and coupling up with Maura Higgins. While Amy chose to leave the show, Curtis and Maura made it to the final and eventually came in fourth place.
Maya will be back in South Africa to present Love Island: All Stars, which sees the return of series six’s Nas Majeed, series ten’s Catherine Agbaje, series nine’s Olivia Hawkins, series 11 star Ronnie Vint, series two’s Scott Thomas, series five’s India Reynolds, series three’s Marcel Somerville and series five’s Elma Pazar. Marcel will be reuniting with ex Gabby in the villa, despite the fact that he’s technically still married to ex Rebecca Vieira.
