Married At First Sight UK star Jess Potter has shared her “difficult” story after giving birth to her daughter.

Jess first rose to fame on the seventh series of the dating reality programme in 2022, where she met and married Pjay Finch but they separated after she discovered his job as an exotic dancer.

The star now shares updates of her life on social media, and has been bravely discussing her fertility journey.

Jess, 32, and her fiancé TJ welcomed their daughter Mia Jane earlier this year after four rounds of IVF.

The dental nurse had also suffered from three miscarriages and a failed adoption.

In a candid update after giving birth to her daughter, Jess revealed she faced a traumatic birth and spent five days in hospital.

She also shared that her daughter Mia had to be brought back to life and wasn’t breathing in the “worst moment” of her life.

She wrote on Instagram: “This is a difficult one. But, I said I was sharing my whole journey, the good and the bad.

“This was 15 minutes after Mia was born, when they had brought her back to life and I finally got to hold her.

“When Mia was born she wasn’t breathing, and she also had the cord around her neck (I didn’t see as she was taken swiftly) Once I had birthed her, the midwives pressed an emergency button and about 10 doctors came running in and whisked her away.

“She had deflated lungs and wasn’t breathing. It took 15 minutes to bring her back.

“I couldn’t see what was happening, mum did and said it was very vigorous as they had to manually inflate them again and bring her back.

“I was screaming at the doctors, they were ignoring me, for obvious reasons- Mia was more important.

“Tom had frozen and was just staring at me and holding me saying that everything will be alright. Mum was with Mia and the doctors.

“It was the WORST moment of my life. I am crying whilst writing this…but the second I heard my baby cry and they brought her back to me, was the single best moment in my life.

Another said: “I can’t imagine the trauma especially after your journey. So glad that all was well in the end and you have your precious Mia.”

Jess revealed she had given birth to her daughter last month, saying: “After 5 days at hospital, 4 days in early Labour, 12 hours of active labour..a lot of screaming. I had the birth I’ve always wanted… Mia Jane OReilly 6lbs 6oz born 4:51am 23rd July. You’re perfect in every kind of way.”

She’s since been sharing updates on her newborn and life as a mum, recently revealing she was “really struggling” with breastfeeding and “felt like a failure”.

She then told followers after opening up about how she stared combi feeding Mia, “as long as your baby is fed, anyway you find fit then that’s what matters. I wish I took my own advise the first 2 weeks as a new mum as I feel like I missed them as I was in my head to much to enjoy it…but here we are now, thriving”.
