Married at First Sight Australia star sets record straight as fans fear couple have split

Married At First Sight Australia fans are keen to find out if Carina and Paul are still an item after the pair found themselves at the centre of the drama

Married At First Sight Australia has finally started airing in the UK after launching in January. The hit reality TV show kicked off on E4 on Monday, 3 March, and will continue to air over the coming weeks.

A new set of couples will walk down the aisle, with experts John Aiken, Mel Schilling, and Alessandra Rampolla on hand to help them navigate their new marriages. The new series is packed full of drama, and fans of MAFS are already trying to figure out which couples have managed to make their relationships work.

One pair who were very loved up were Carina Mirabile and Paul Antoine. However, the duo has endured some ups and downs on the reality show, with fans eager to know if they’ve managed to stay together in the real world.

With MAFS contestants not allowed to unveil their relationship status until the series has finished, neither Carina nor Paul have officially spoken out about their marriage. Eagle-eyed fans have noticed that the pair haven’t been seen together since filming wrapped in December.

Paul also recently celebrated his birthday in Sydney, and while some of his MAFS co-stars were in attendance, Carina was noticeably absent. She was instead seen enjoying time in Melbourne with other MAFS Australia stars.

It was also noticed in a recent Instagram video that Paul was not sporting his wedding ring, sparking concern that he and Carina could be over.

However, speaking on The MAFS Funny podcast recently, Carina revealed she and Paul are “absolutely” in contact, adding: “Paul and I check in on each other every single day and make sure that we’re both okay.”

In addition to Carina and Paul, other pairings on this year’s MAFS Australia include Lauren and Eliot, Jamie and Dave, Katie and Tim, Sierah and Billy, Awhina & Adrian, Rhi and Jeff, Ashleigh and Jake, Tony and Morena, Jacqui and Ryan, Lauren and Clint, Teejay and Beth.

The series also includes a brand new twist: the introduction of the Final Test Week. During this week, couples are given the opportunity to swap their partner in a show first.

MAFS producers have teased more about the twist, which is described as “an international MAFS first, where the participants will be confronted with the age-old question, ‘Is the grass greener on the other side?'”
