Marnie Simpson has revealed her baby girl’s unique name, after giving birth over the weekend. In a heartwarming Instagram post, the former Geordie Shore star shared an adorable video of her newborn and wrote: “KIXEE JOHNSON. She’s finally here and she’s perfect. We have never felt so lucky. 17.07.25. 11.57am. 6lbs12.”
Fans were quick to shower the new mum with love, with many expressing their adoration for the unusual name. One fan commented: “Such a cute name! She’s adorable!” while another gushed: “Awwww, she’s beautiful! Love her and you!” A third chimed in with: “LOVE the name! Kix, Rox and Oax”, referencing Marnie’s two sons.
One follower asked: “Is it pronounced KICKS-E”, to which Marnie replied: “Yep xxx.”
Marnie’s husband Casey Johnson also sweetly wrote: “My princess is here.”
The 33 year old star, who is already a proud mum to two boys, Rox, five, and Oax, three, with husband Casey, announced the arrival of little Kixee over the weekend with a cosy selfie from bed.
She reassured fans that both she and the baby were “doing well” and couldn’t help but gush about her first daughter, reports the Mirror.
Sharing a photo of herself, she penned: “Baby girl is here safe and sound! We’re Both doing really well and recovering. She’s so beautiful and perfect!”.
She continued: “I feel so blessed and still feels surreal I have a daughter. Gonna enjoy this baby bubble and get back to socials once I’ve recovered fully. Thanks for all the amazing messages it really means so much.”
Meanwhile, Casey gushed that he is “obsessed” with his little girl and said the family is “completed”.
He wrote on his Instagram Story: “Thank you everyone for the lovely messages, I can’t reply right now but our little girl is safe and sound and im obsessed! she’s completed the family and marns done so well, very proud of you as always, such a strong girl who always amazes me, love you.”
Marnie announced her pregnancy back in February, sharing a touching black and white video featuring herself and her sons, along with her ultrasound.
She and Casey first started dating back in 2017 after they both appeared on the reality TV show Single AF and they then went on to tie the knot in March 2023.
Marnie previously confessed that she was taken aback when Casey proposed as she said she was “at her worst” mentally and physically. The star had been battling with a severe UTI in 2016, which became increasingly worse following the birth of her first son Rox in 2019. Speaking to the Mail about Casey’s heartfelt proposal, she revealed: “I was in such a bad way mentally, emotionally and physically; I couldn’t believe he even wanted to be with me. I was in such a bad way.
“For him to ask me to marry him at that point I thought ‘what? You’re asking me to marry you when I’m this ill?’ It completely shocked me. He said he loved me unconditionally and it was just a real special moment.”
