Mark Wright has shared his excitement over the impending arrival of his and wife Michelle Keegan’s first child together, saying he ‘can’t wait for it to happen’
Mark Wright is ‘excited’ for his new adventure into fatherhood as his wife, Coronation Street favourite Michelle Keegan, nears her due date. Married to Michelle since 2015, the 38 year old former reality star and his 37 year old actress wife delighted fans three months back by announcing their first pregnancy. They took to social media to break the delightful news, sharing a gloriously sunny beach snap from a Spanish island where Michelle’s baby bump took centre stage. As the arrival of their little one inches closer, Mark can barely contain his excitement about becoming a dad for the first time, just like Michelle.
Pondering on his future role, he reflects on his own childhood with TOWIE regulars Mark Sr and Carol as parents. Mark also gives a loving nod to Michelle’s folks, Michael Keegan and Jackie Turner, noting that both their families have equipped them with solid values to pass on to their kids. Chatting with The Sun, Mark gushed: “I’m just excited for the whole process. I’m just really excited and can’t wait for it to happen. A parent shapes you. If you haven’t got a good upbringing, you can still end up being a good person but if you’ve got good parents, like we have, you’re going out into life [with] a massive head start”, reports the Mirror.

“My dad is everything you’d dream [of] in a dad. He’s always put us first, no matter what, whether that was financially or in terms of love and care. We’ve always felt so loved and that’s one of the most important things for any parent – to make your child feel loved and to [let] them know [you’re] there.”
Last month, Mark Wright and his wife Michelle Keegan’s peace was shattered when their home became the target of a break-in while they were tucked up in bed. The couple, who were alarmed by the situation, secured themselves in their bedroom as their lavish £3.5million Essex pad was invaded by thieves donning masks.
The report claims that the hooded intruders were inside the property for about a minute, which was enough for the couple to hear breaking glass and be alerted by their alarm system.

The incident comes after warnings aimed particularly at celebs and online personalities from James Pipe of freegrantsforfelons.org, who spoke to The Mirror stating: “It’s understandable that people want to share their homes, renovations, and lifestyles with their followers, but criminals are watching too. Posting photos and videos can reveal more than you realise, things like security setups, expensive items, and even clues about when you’re away.”
He highlighted the perils of instantaneous updates, cautioning: “If you’re on holiday and posting updates while your house is empty, you’re basically putting up a ‘no one’s home’ sign for burglars. Even little details like a unique window view or a designer bag in the background can give criminals all the information they need.”
