Married At First Sight UK star Marilyse Corrigan has shared a worrying update to fans after being rushed to hospital.
The reality show contestant appeared on the series in season six, where she was paired with Franky Spencer, but the pair split weeks after the show.
She then moved on with fellow MAFS UK star Matt Murray, who appeared on a different season, though the couple called things off in 2023.
Mum-of-two Marilyn, 40, has now shared a health update, sharing that her new partner was in hospital supporting her.
She shared a video and pictures of herself connected to medical equipment, writing: “Was going to Liverpool for a Hollyoaks party but ended up in hospital! Suspected kidney infection. Not good!”
She then wrote: “No wonder been in so much pain, sick and doubled over. CT scan has confirmed a burst appendix, not a kidney infection.
“Need an op asap. I always have the best luck.”
In a third Story, the star showed that her arm was connected to a drip, writing: “24 hours in Manchester Royal Infirmary with a burst appendix and still waiting for what should be an emergency op!”
She continued: “If only they had listened to my bf yesterday morning in A&E who told them exactly what he thought it could be, I would have been seen to quicker!
“They assumed it was a kidney infection until CT scan. (Still not good with only 1 kidney!) On morphine and can’t walk.”
Marilyse donated one of her kidneys as part of a transplant scheme that helped her ex Shaun, who is the father of her two children, get a new kidney of his own.
She had explained at the time: “2 years ago I decided to put myself forward and volunteer without my ex knowing.
“After undergoing lots of hospital trips for tests, scans etc, I was told I could help him! But not directly. So that’s where a kidney sharing scheme happens.”
“I know that by helping him, it is the right thing for me to do for everyone,” she added.
This comes after Marilyn teased her relationship on social media last year with a loved-up picture, though it is unclear if she is still with the same man.
“Found Happiness,” she wrote, alongside emojis, in a sweet picture showing her then-boyfriend gazing at her adoringly.
Fans rushed to share their support, with one writing: “So pleased for you.”
Another said, “Wonderful news, stay happy,” and a third wrote, “So happy for you my darling, you deserve all the love and more.”
The Sun later reported the couple had split, with a source saying: “Marilyse is really upset and can’t believe she’s ended up single again.
“She was dumped over text after falling head over heels. It was a whirlwind romance and in hindsight she feels she was love bombed.”
