Love Island star Montana Brown has given birth to her second child with fiancé Mark O’Connor – a baby girl – and shared the first adorable snap of her with her big brother Jude

Montana Brown, the Love Island sensation, has just welcomed her second bundle of joy into the world and couldn’t wait to share the news with her fans. The 29 year old reality TV alum took to Instagram to post an adorable snapshot cradling her new baby girl, with fiancé Mark O’Connor by her side.

This arrival marks the second child for the couple, who first embraced parenthood 17 months ago with their son Jude. Montana gushed over her early arrival, captioning the photo: “Look who decided to show up early. Bigger than expected and a bit of a rollercoaster. We’re over the moon and taking it all in but just glad she’s healthy and happy.”

The birth announcement follows Montana’s candid discussions about her desire for a home birth, despite facing a breech pregnancy. She openly criticised NHS midwives for their lack of support, attributing it to a lack of experience, and shared her decision to hire a private midwife for a home delivery on TikTok.

Montana expressed her frustration, saying: “So we are obviously nearing D-Day and she is still breech and for me, my mindset is on a home birth and It’s really hard to find people who are supportive of a home birth especially in my position of having a breech baby. Which has been really really tricky because if you speak to midwives who are a little bit older and have had their training, they are quite confident at birthing breech babies because from what I’ve heard it’s just a different form of vaginal delivery.”

Montana revealed her birth plans and the advice she’s been getting, saying: “Yes there are risks but as there are with any birth and there are certain things you look out for and certain positions that are better in order to make sure that the baby is delivered in a safe environment.

She added: “The hospital I am with, who have been incredibly supportive and have given me a lot of different options, are very against me giving birth at home and also if she continues to stay in the same positions that she has been which is footling breech, they have completely advised me to not give birth vaginally and have given me the option to book in for an elliptical [C-section],” reports the Mirror.

Adding more detail, she explained, “But a lot of the midwives that have been trained a lot more and have a lot of experience in delivery vaginal breach birth are not concerned about me giving birth at home so yeah there is a lot of conflict.”
