Love Island’s Conor Phillips and Megan Forte Clarke have announced some exciting news.
The couple, both from Ireland, met in the famous villa earlier this summer but their journey wasn’t smooth sailing.
Megan was originally coupled up with Tommy Bradley before having her head turned by Conor but she unfortunately got booted out of the villa early on in the series.
With Megan back in the real world, Conor remained in the process and went on to couple up with a record-breaking eight different girls before finding love with the brunette bombshell when she returned to the villa in one of the show’s biggest ever twists.
Speaking about life after the villa, Conor revealed: “There’s been some update in the relationship status and we’re boyfriend and girlfriend. It’s been exactly how I would have liked it to go.”

“When she came back [to the villa] it was quite near the end where everyone was getting really lovely dovey and I think you can feel pressured because everyone else is doing it.
“But because I knew it was something real and something really genuine I didn’t want to go at a pace that wasn’t natural but we did it at our own pace and we’re flying.”

A smitten Megan added: “My mam is chuffed. My mam’s obsessed with him. They text more than me and my mam do.”
The pair went on to confirm that their friends and families met at a joint party back in Dublin and they all got on like a house on fire.
Conor and Megan were were brutally dumped from the island just before the final but they have lots in the pipeline.

Conor, who has been staying with Megan while he’s been in the UK, explained: “I will have to go back to Ireland and do a few things there and unfortunately leave Megan for a couple of days but we’ve got exciting things coming up.
“We were both normal people a couple of weeks ago and now we’re getting stopped by people so it’s crazy but we’re taking it all in and enjoying it.
“For me, I’d love to do things with Megan but at the same time we’re both very independent people and that’s why we get on so well and formed a connection.
“We’ve both said ‘you do your thing, I’ll do my thing and we’ll come together and do our thing’ and it’s very important to keep that.”
