Gemma Owen wowed fans as she shared snaps of her trip away with her boyfriend. Michael Owen’s daughter rose to fame when she appeared on the 2022 season of Love Island.
The 22-year-old was coupled up with Luca Bish on the show and the two went on to finish in second place on the dating programme. However, their romance did not last outside the villa and they soon parted ways. Since her exit from the villa, Gemma has largely kept details of her love life private.
However, she has recently stepped out with her new partner, Red Morgan, on Instagram. She shared a rare update of the two together as they enjoyed a holiday abroad.
“She cosied up to her partner in photos, alongside the caption: “Holiday heaven. Having the best time with the best people.” Red took to the comments and said: “The bestest time.”
Gemma’s mum, Louise Owen, also took to the comments to praise the images, that were shared with the Love Island star’s 1.7m followers.
Louise said: “Wow this looks incredible.” Gemma responded to both comments with a series of heart emojis. Other followers also took to the comments to praise the post after the update.
Julia said: “Gemma I’m absolutely loving your cream dress its gorgeous on you. It’s so lovely to see you having the best time. It’s lovely to see you so happy as well”
Mouna commented: “Gorgeous couple.” Keira posted: “so happy for you.” A follower named Lisa added: “Gorgeous, cute couple. So happy for u Gem.”
Gemma is the eldest daughter of former Liverpool FC striker Michael Owen. The 45-year-old is also the proud dad to James, Jessica and Emily.
Gemma competed on season eight of Love Island. She confirmed she had split from her partner on the show, Luca, in a statement three months after they were in the villa.
She said: “To all my followers, I wanted to let you know that Luca and I are no longer in a relationship. It wasn’t an easy decision but ultimately this is what is best for us both right now.
“Many of you have been on this journey with us from the very beginning, and I want to thank you for your continued support as we start new chapters.”
Luca has since returned to the villa for the Love Island: All Stars show earlier this year. He found love with Grace Jackson and the two finished as runners-up.
