Scott Thomas is one of the well known faces who will be heading back to the Love Island villa for the All Stars series and it’s claimed he has an ulterior motive.
The real reason Scott Thomas is joining Love Island All Stars has been revealed. The 36 year old, who first graced our screens on the ITV dating show in 2016, has since made a name for himself in the business world. During his stint on the second series, Scott ended up finishing in third place with ex-partner Kady McDermott. Now, it’s suggested that Scott has an ulterior motive for signing up for the programme, which is set to start in just a few days.
It’s reported that PR company owner Scott, who is one of the oldest of the 2025 cast alongside Marcel Somerville, is returning for the All Stars series following the collapse of his separate health and fitness business. A source shared that the show has come at the perfect time following the loss of the business. “Not only is it a payday for him going on the show, but it helps boost his profile for future business ventures. Scott’s a grafter, so he always has something else up his sleeve,” they spilled to The Sun. Scott’s business, Food4Thoughts, went into liquidation in April 2024.
His brother Adam was an investor in the firm that Scott had set up with their friend, former chef Scott Graham, during lockdown, but last year the fitness, weight loss and nutrition firm was shut down after they failed to attract enough members to make it financially viable, reports the Mirror.
An insider at The Sun dished the dirt on why a certain venture didn’t pan out, saying: “The concept was great and members loved it but the firm needed more people and they weren’t signing up and Adam and Scott simply couldn’t commit any more cash to the venture.”
Now, Scott’s off to South Africa with high hopes of winning love and the £50,000 prize. He’s feeling like a changed man since his last stint in 2016, confessing: “I’ve been on a massive journey over the last five years,” and adding, “I’ve been working on sobriety, personal growth, self development, when I first went into the villa I was still a bit of a boy… I feel like I finally know who I am. It might sound cheesy, but I’m ready to settle down and I’ve never been open to saying those words. Where better than Love Island?”
His brother Adam has been a huge inspiration for him giving love another shot on the show.
Scott said, “I admire my brother Adam and his wife Caroline. They have an amazing relationship. I always say I want to find ‘my Caroline.’ They are still madly in love.”
Only time will tell if Scott finds his perfect match as he joins other familiar faces like Marcel Somerville, India Reynolds, Gabby Allen, Elma Pazar, Ronnie Vint, Catherine Agbaje, Luca Bish, Nas Majeed, Curtis Pritchard, Kaz Crossley and Olivia Hawkins in the sunny climes of South Africa for the series kicking off on ITV 2 on Monday 13 January.
