Steven Gerrard’s daughter Lilly has shared a heartfelt update with her baby Lila Grey. The 21-year-old gave birth to her first child two months ago and took to social media to mark the milestone.
Lilly, the eldest daughter of Liverpool FC legend Steven Gerrard, shared the incredible news that she had given birth when she posted a snap of her partner, Lee Byrne, as he carried their new baby out of the hospital. She captioned the post: “2 becomes 3.”
Gerrard’s eldest daughter has kept in with the family tradition of using names beginning with “L”. Steven and Alex Gerrard have daughters Lilly, Lexie, 19, Lourdes, 14, and a son named Lio, eight.
Lilly regularly keeps her followers updated on her life as a new mum, from shopping trips to Liverpool One to her first night out after giving birth.
Most recently, Lilly shared a heart-warming quote to her Instagram story. It said: “Me? Obsessed with my daughter? Absolutely. She’s my bestie for life.”
She completed the carousel of snaps with a beautiful video of herself laying down next to her two-month old. The two appeared to be laughing and smiling, while Lila Grey was dressed in an adorable baby pink outfit with a delicate white collar.
It isn’t the first time Lilly has shared one of Lila’s stunning outfits. She recently shared a snap of her daughter’s first Liverpool FC kit.
The outfit was completed with an adorable red bow hairband for Lila Grey. Lilly added laughing emojis and a red love heart as she showed off the new outfit on social media.
Lilly recently shared that it had been two months since she had given birth to Lila Grey. In a post on Instagram, Lilly wrote “In love with you”. Lilly’s sister Lourdes also marked the special day. She wrote “two months of loving you” alongside a photo of her niece.
Steven Gerrard has embraced his new role as grandad and regularly shares photos of himself on “grandad duty”. The 45-year-old was sent a congratulations message from the Reds after Lila was born, containing a gift for the baby.
Lilly and her partner Lee Byrne have been dating for more than two years, the two confirmed their relationship in 2022 with a series of pictures from time together in Ibiza, Spain.
Gerrard’s daughter grew up in Merseyside but has spent a lot of time away from the UK in the past couple of years due to her dad’s management commitments with Al-Ettifaq FC, a team he departed from in January. However, since the family returned to the UK, she spends most of her time in Liverpool.
