Lilly Gerrard has taken her baby girl Lila Grey on a shopping trip to Liverpool One. The daughter of Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, gave birth to her first child on Tuesday, July 15. Lilly shared the incredible news that she had welcomed her first child into the world when she posted a snap of her partner, Lee Byrne, as he carried their new baby out of the hospital.
The 21-year-old has kept her followers updated in the weeks after giving birth right from the very moment she arrived home with her newborn. She shared a snap as the house was decorated and filled with pink and white balloons, bows and teddy bears ready to welcome Lila Grey home for the first time.
Lilly has shared several snaps of her baby in recent weeks, from adorable professional photoshoots to cosy snaps of Steven Gerrard cradling his granddaughter on the sofa at home.
Most recently, Lilly shared a photo to her Instagram stories as she was pushing Lila Grey in her pram around Liverpool One. In the photo, Lilly was stood on Peter’s Lane while her one-month old was asleep in her beige iCandy stroller.
The Liverpool FC legend’s daughter has carried on a family tradition as she confirmed the name of her new bundle of joy last month. She said: “So lucky to be your mum. My beautiful baby girl. Lila Grey. Perfection.”
The adorable name is in keeping with a family tradition as the retired Reds’ midfielder and his wife Alex gave all of their children names beginning with L. In addition to Lilly, Gerrard and Alex are the proud parents of Lexie, Lourdes and Lio.
It is clear that Steven Gerrard has embraced his new role as grandad as he recently shared a photograph of himself on “grandad duty.” The 45-year-old shared a snap cradling Lila with his Instagram followers. Lilly also shared a photograph of her younger brother Lio, eight, as he lay with Lila Grey under his arm.
Lily posts regular updates on social media as the 21-year-old was in disbelief at her beautiful newborn. She recently shared some gorgeous photographs from a professional photoshoot with the caption: “Can’t believe you are mine.”
New parents, Lilly and Lee, enjoyed their first night out a few weeks ago since becoming mum and dad. The two went to Drake’s concert at the Co-Op Live arena in Manchester.
Lilly captioned the post: “Mum and dad are out” with a celebration emoji and red love heart emoji. She shared an adorable snap alongside her partner as the couple enjoyed their night away from their newborn.
Lilly looked “amazing” as she wore a pair of blue denim jeans and a black long-sleeved bodysuit. Lilly’s followers were quick to flood the comments with positive messages and compliments.
Gerrard’s daughter grew up in Merseyside but has spent a lot of time away from the UK in the past couple of years due to her dad’s management commitments with Al-Ettifaq FC, a team he departed in January.
