Katie Price has issued an update on her son Harvey after the teen was “kicked out” of his residential care home due to being too difficult, leaving the former glamour model feeling “let down”
Katie Price, the mum-of-five and former glamour model, has shared an emotional update with her followers after her son Harvey was sadly ‘kicked out’ of his residential care home. The 46 year old shares Harvey, 22, with her ex Dwight Yorke. Harvey lives with several complex conditions including Prader-Willi syndrome, autism, septo-optic dysplasia, and learning difficulties. Prader-Willi syndrome is a genetic disorder that causes an insatiable appetite, potentially leading to obesity and diabetes.
Taking to Instagram, Katie posted a heartwarming video of Harvey spinning on a pink chair, gleefully responding “yes mum!” when she says: “You love being home.” She echoes his sentiment, saying: “You love it,” to which Harvey joyfully replies, “of course!” Further updates show Harvey enjoying a haircut, looking content in the barber’s chair. The decision to remove Harvey from his care home came after he was deemed ‘too difficult’, leaving Katie feeling incredibly let down. She opened up about the distressing situation on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, revealing her disappointment with the council for putting her in a position where she must scramble to find new accommodations for her son, reports the Mirror.

Katie opened up to her fans about a recent setback, sharing: “Harvey is supposed to be moving in four-and-a-half weeks, they’ve changed management and said they won’t be able to cater for Harv, because he’s too difficult. So now I’ve got to find another placement for him… so yeah, more drama to deal with.”
Later on in the podcast, she expressed her frustration, saying: “We worked months and months for that and he was told four-and-a-half weeks before that he couldn’t go there, and Harvey has been doing the countdown. Well it’s stressful because you want the right thing for your child and it is a lot of time and effort to go back and do more meetings, more forms, it is very time-consuming because you want the best for your child.”
The revelation follows Katie’s heartfelt disclosure last week about her worries over her son’s health due to his rare genetic condition. She plans to put Harvey, who tips the scales at 28 stone, on weight-loss injections as an urgent measure to curb his constant hunger and potentially save his life.

Katie shared her grave concerns, stating that without help, Harvey’s escalating weight could be fatal. She detailed how leading doctors have recommended the injections, hoping they will significantly enhance Harvey’s quality of life.
Katie admitted the gravity of Harvey’s situation, highlighting the real danger of a heart attack he faces. The mother-of-five openly discussed how Harvey’s genetic condition, Prader-Willi syndrome, is currently causing him to gain weight. In an interview with the Sun, Katie explained: “He’s putting on weight. It doesn’t matter what we do. He can’t put his shoes on without sweating. He can’t walk far because he gets out of breath.”
According to Katie, doctors have recommended the injections to enhance Harvey’s quality of life, extend his lifespan, and improve his overall well-being. Harvey struggles with multiple debilitating conditions, including autism, septo-optic dysplasia, ADHD, and oppositional defiant disorder.

Katie expressed her support for the injection option, citing the weekly administration allows for swift termination if any adverse effects on Harvey are observed. “We’ve tried food, he’s had dieticians, it’s just the way he is,” she stated, assuring that the treatment won’t interfere with his existing medications. The reality TV personality mentioned that doctors are keen for Harvey to undergo the jab for “one or two years” to facilitate thorough assessment.
