Katherine Ryan has welcomed her fourth child. The comedian, 41, is already a proud mum to teenage daughter Violet, 15, as well as son Fred, four, and daughter Fenna, two, with husband Bobby Kootstra.
Bobby revealed that the couple have now welcomed a baby daughter named Holland Juliette Kootstra, as he shared the happy news on Instagram. He said: “Holland Juliette Kootstra has arrived. The ‘Patrick Mahomes’ of childbirth pulled out another MVP performance! Amazing to witness the greatness of @kathbum #blessed.”
Sharing the first snap of their baby girl, little Holland is seen wearing a pink knit babygro with her name stitched on it. Another sweet image showed proud dad Bobby carrying their newborn daughter out of the hospital in a car seat.
Other beautiful pictures in the upload showed little Holland being doted on by her older siblings, big sisters Violet and Fenna and brother Fred, after she arrived back home.
After giving birth, Bobby revealed that Katherine celebrated with Dom Pérignon Champagne in her hospital room and tucked into delicious food, including sushi from celebrity hotspot Nobu restaurant. Katherine shared Bobby’s post to her own Instagram story with the caption: “45 min PB”.
Celebrity pals rushed to congratulate the pair on their newest arrival as Emily Atack said: “Oh my god you guyssssssss!!!!!!!!!” Love Island’s Shaughna Phillips said: “Congratulations”, while comedian Roisin Conaty said: “Wooohooo Another absolute dreamboat to the squad.”
Fans also commented on the name choice as one person said: “Gorgeous name choice too” and “Yay!! Gorgeous name and post-birth line up.”
Katherine recently suggested that she thought she would be welcoming a boy. The Canadian comic told Heart Radio: “I have to say I can’t ever complain post-first trimester.
“I’m quite big, so I think it might be a boy, so I’m feeling dejected about that, because men have just antagonised me all my life, even before they’re born.”
She also added that she never finds out her baby’s sex prior to the birth as she said: “It’s always a surprise, and I love that. It’s vintage.”
Katherine first gave a hint that she was pregnant earlier this year while making an appearance on teen daughter Violet’s TikTok page while she was sharing reviews. Days later, Katherine stepped out on the red carpet showcasing her blossoming baby bump.
Katherine and Bobby first dated when she was 15, before rekindling their romance in 2018 when she returned to Canada to film BBC show, Who Do You Think You Are?
