Former Little Mix star Jesy Nelson has announced the arrival of her twin daughters, born prematurely on May 15. Sharing the news on social media, Jesy explained that the babies arrived unexpectedly at 31 weeks and 5 days. She and her partner, Zion, named their daughters Ocean Jade Nelson-Foster and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster.
The birth came after a difficult pregnancy. Jesy had to undergo emergency surgery in April due to a rare and dangerous condition called twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, which put both babies at risk. Thankfully, the surgery was successful, and Jesy has since described feeling incredibly grateful that both babies continued to grow strong.
Now, Jesy is ready to open up about her experience of becoming a first-time mum. She will be sharing her journey in a new six-part documentary series, titled Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix, which will stream globally on Prime Video. The show will explore the emotional ups and downs of her high-risk pregnancy, her transition into motherhood, and her life since leaving Little Mix in 2020.
Amazon describes the series as an honest and deeply personal look at Jesy’s life — from dealing with fame and mental health struggles to navigating medical challenges during pregnancy. Jesy says she’s excited to share this new chapter with fans, and promises to show both the joys and struggles she’s faced. She expressed hope that others will connect with her story and join her as she opens up in a way she never has before.
Jesy and Zion have been together since November 2022, and Zion recently ran the London Marathon to raise funds for Twins Trust, a charity supporting families with twins.
Jesy now joins her former Little Mix bandmates in motherhood. In 2021, Perrie Edwards welcomed her son Axel with fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, while Leigh-Anne Pinnock gave birth to twins with husband Andre Gray.
