Jeremy Clarkson has shared a health update as filming is currently underway for the next series of his much-loved Amazon Prime show, Clarkson’s Farm. The former Top Gear presenter has opened up about his health issues in his column in The Sunday Times.
The popular Amazon show takes viewers through Clarkson’s day-to-day life at Diddly Squat farm in the Cotswolds. The third season of the reality series was released in May 2024, with a fifth season confirmed during the production of season four.
But in a recent car review in The Sunday Times, the 65-year-old also discussed his personal struggles. He wrote: “It’s fine if I’m not doing anything, but in the [Mercedes-Benz] G 580, not doing anything is impossible because it pitches and yaws and rolls all the time, and you never have any idea what it’s going to do next. So you can’t ever brace yourself.”
Clarkson claimed to have lost about a stone and a half after using the Mounjaro weight-loss jab. The star also suffered a health scare before he underwent heart surgery last year to clear blocked arteries.
Writing in his weekly column for The Sunday Times, Clarkson said his late doctor rarely informed him of any medical issues. He revealed his doctor was “too busy name-dropping” his other celebrity clients, such as singer Rita Ora, while undergoing checks.

He recently underwent a prostate examination and has since shared his experiences of the screening. He thinks he has had too many friends “go down” with prostate cancer.
Clarkson said that he does not mind the prostate exam as “we do need to know this stuff”, as prostate cancer kills around 9,000 men in England every year. He reflected on some of his friends who have been struck with the most common type of cancer in Britain.
He said: “I’ve had too many friends go down with prostate cancer, and all it takes to get on top of the situation early is a moment or two of being a bit cross-eyed.
“You get the all-clear and the doc goes home happy. What’s not to like? I went home very happy because the initial probing and photographing suggests all is well. And let me tell you, nothing makes you feel better than knowing for sure you’re not going to drop dead tomorrow morning.”
His Diddly Squat farm shop closed for two months last Christmas and reopened earlier this year. During the closure, Clarkson opened a temporary outlet in his pub, The Farmer’s Dog.
The shop has seen a revamp during its downtime, including a significant update to its iconic sign, now sporting a darker background and more vivid lettering.
Jeremy took to social media to make the announcement. He said: “The team have been working hard to fix and refresh, just look at the sign, it’s like new. The doors will be open on Saturday and Sunday 09:30-16:30. Normal hours resume.
The comments section was flooded with excited customers, including one fan who said: “I’m coming for a visit this year without fail! ! Good luck for the coming season and hopefully it will be plain sailing all the way now. What I’ve bought online has been brilliant.”
Another eager visitor shared: “We’re on our way down from Manchester for opening day tomorrow can’t wait! ! !” One enthusiast reminisced: “I’ve been twice … even got a pet from lovely Lisa – she is my fav,” while another regular chimed in with their fondness for the produce: “Time to stock up on that absolutely incredible blackberry jam!”.
