Jack Grealish is expected to soon make the move to Everton. The 29-year-old attacking midfielder is due to undergo a medical ahead of a season long loan move from Manchester City, should the final stages of the move be overcome successfully.
The former Aston Villa star had been expected to leave the Etihad all summer after falling out of favour with manager Pep Guardiola. Grealish was left out of the squad that travelled to the USA for the Club World Cup and has not been part of the club’s pre-season plans. He did not feature in the trip to Sicily as Man City faced sister club Palermo this weekend.
He joined Man City from his boyhood club, Aston Villa, for £100m in 2021. He has since gone on to win three Premier League titles, the Champions League and an FA Cup.
The move to Merseyside is set to provide a significant boost in creativity to a David Moyes side that has struggled for goals during pre-season. Away from the pitch, Grealish is in a long term relationship with his partner, Sacha Attwood.
The model has been with the footballer since they were teenagers at high school. The couple became parents when they welcomed their first child, Mila Rose, into the world in September 2024.
Grealish announced the news last summer when he shared an image cradling Sacha’s blossoming baby bump. He captioned the post: “Life’s biggest blessing.”
Sacha announced the birth in October. She shared picture of the baby’s hand, alongside the caption: “27/09/24. Mila Rose Grealish. The most special moment of my life”
People took to the comments to congratulate Sacha and Grealish after the update. The post was also liked by Lilly Gerrard, Mia Carragher, Helen Flanagan and Danielle Lloyd.
Sacha regularly shares updates of her life as a mum on Instagram. She is often in the stands at Man City and England games. On social media, she revealed she took Mila to her first game last November. She held Mila, who was wearing Grealish’s number 10 shirt.
The family enjoyed a sunny break over the summer. Sacha shared snaps with Mila, as she captioned the post: “Mamas bestie.”
Grealish’s updates on social media largely comprises positive posts from his life on and off the pitch. However, he took to social media in 2023 to react to the ordeal he went through when his home in Cheshire got burgled.
He said: “I can’t begin to explain how devastated I am over the burglary that took place at my home a few days ago. My family mean the world to me and nothing is more important than ensuring their safety.
“This has been a traumatic experience for all of us, I am just so grateful that nobody was hurt. I have had so many amazing experiences and achievements over the last 12 months, but to be honest the best year of my life in football now doesn’t feel like something I can celebrate.
“The people that commit these terrible crimes have no idea of the damage they cause to peoples lives. I hope they are found and brought to justice so no other family has to go through what we have.
“I appreciate the messages from everyone and the support from my friends, teammates and the club. On a more positive note, I’d like to thank everyone for their support throughout this past year, I wish you and your family a happy 2024 “
