This Morning fans were left pleading “make it stop” on Thursday (March 20).
During the latest episode, hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard joined in the International Day of Happiness celebrations with a series of segments dedicated to joy.
The show cut to Big Brother’s Will Best, who was in Blackpool ready to hand out cash prizes to beach-goers.
“Welcome to Blackpool! It’s a beautiful town that famous, of course, for it’s tower, it’s beach, it’s rock and ballroom dancing,” Will beamed from the sunny promenade.
“I am standing on the comedy carpet which has written on it some of the greatest jokes ever told, but we’re not here for that. We’re here for a very serious matter of celebrating happiness day and celebrating this weather by giving out some cold hard cash.”, reports Wales Online.

Will introduced the segment Dosh on our Doorstep, where people could walk through a wooden door and take on a challenge for a chance to win some spending money for their day at the beach.
Challenges included diving into a ball pit, demolishing sandcastles, and answering trivia about Blackpool.
But it was a particular moment that sent Cat and Ben into fits of laughter: Will whipped out a kazoo to play well-known theme tunes.
He attempted the This Morning anthem, yet contestant Kathleen mistook it for Coronation Street’s tune.

“It’s a show that you’re currently on,” Will hinted, leading Kathleen to comically guess: “Good Morning Britain.”
The moment when Will secretly passed the answer to Kathleen drew a charming reaction from Ben, noting, “We got there in the end.”
However, not all viewers were thrilled with the segment as they expressed their displeasure on X (formerly Twitter). Disgruntled fans aired their grievances, with comments like, “This is painful to watch. Make it stop,” and others lamenting the childlike direction of the show, “This is turning into kids TV every day now.”

Some beach-goers didn’t appreciate the intrusion either; one viewer commented, “That’s hardly a big crowd, pretty sure they just want to enjoy their time on the beach without some poxy TV show filming some cringe segment,” while another confessed, “I’ve zoned out.”
A sentiment shared by another who criticised: “Bottom barrel scraping.”
