
The Chase star Shaun Wallace has been updating fans on social media about his weight loss journey. The quizzer has been on our screens since 2009, and has remained a familiar face with ITV viewers ever since.
Shaun has a large following of 95,000 followers on Instagram and offers fans a glimpse into his life away from the quizzing world. His account features hundreds of exercise photos and videos, his most recent update was posted this week.
In a new video, Shaun said: “It’s weigh in time! I’ve lost 3 Kilos!! Keeping up with my Jane Plan diet.” Speaking to camera in a topless video, the 64-year-old revealed he had finished the first week of his new diet plan.
Stepping onto bathroom scales, he said: “I think I’ve lost 3 Kilos, that’s good.” Fans of the ITV star offered their support as they praised the weight loss journey of Shaun.
Dale commented: “You have done well my friend. With you every step of the way” and Carol wrote “That’s Brilliant I’m on just now on day 4 of the @janeplanuk and so far lost 5lbs.”
Linda replied “Well done Shaun you will get to where you want to be in no time” and Roger added “Nice one Mr Wallace, keep going”, alongside a thumbs up emoji.
Other responses included: “Well done Shaun, you always ‘practice what you preach’. Such an inspiration to help everyone. Please keep doing what you do! Love to you as always Shaun” and “That’s Bonkers”, next to clapping hand emojis.
The Jane Plan diet, allows customers to choose from from over 80 “perfectly portioned” and calorie-counted options, this includes favourite breakfasts, lunches, dinners & snacks.
According to their website, they “follow NHS guidelines with our nutritionally balanced, calorie counted meals, and complement your plan with all the support you need, when you need it.”
Shaun is always full of encouraging words in his videos, and from a local park’s exercise set, said: “Sometimes in life, getting out of bed on a daily basis is more than enough. Give yourself credit for those little victories.”
Aside from his exercise, Shaun also shares proud career moments to his social media platform. In November, he shared a special moment in his law career.
Posting pictures of himself from his early career, he said: “These photos were taken on the 27th November 1984, the day I got called to the bar. Today is my 40th Anniversary as a barrister, one of the proudest and best achievements in my life.”
His life took a dramatic turn in 2004 when he clinched victory on the BBC general knowledge quiz Mastermind, with his specialist subject being FA Cup Finals. This win caught the attention of Bradley and his team of producers, leading to Shaun being scouted by ITV to become the first ever chaser on The Chase.
