Coronation Street’s Jack P Shepherd has issued an update on his exciting wedding plans. The star, renowned for his role as David Platt, will tie the knot with long term partner, Hanni Treweek, this year.
The two regularly share updates from their happy life on Instagram. Hanni has taken to the social media platform today to share a round up from January as we move into the second month of the year.
Hanni teased fans with a locked document titled “our wedding” with secret next to the lock pad. In the caption, she said: “Ya not getting anything.”
However, Hanni was willing to reveal the date for the wedding is looming as she revealed the event will take place in six months. She said: “From working with Liz as a young girly planning Corrie events, it’s so lovely to work together again many years later but this time for our wedding.
“There is no one else we’d have to plan our special day. Only six months to go.” Jack re-shared the post on his own account with the caption: “Back with the best wedding team @taylorlynncorp @hannitreweek wedding plans are on the way!”
Hanni took to the comments and said: “I can’t wait.” Claire Sweeney was one of Jack’s co-stars to send a message of support after the update as she said: “@liztaylorconsultancy is the best.”
Jack and Hanni thrilled fans when they revealed they were engaged last year. Jack popped the question on a luxury trip to Zanzibar as he they shared a joint post on Instagram to confirm the happy news.
The couple met behind the scenes on the show before they started dating in 2017 and Jack described her as his “soulmate”. He told OK!: “We met at Corrie but we only really knew each other to say hello to at work.
“Then our mutual friends got married and we were both guests at the wedding. We got chatting. I made Hanni laugh. We had a couple of drinks and we flirted. That was it.”
Jack was previously in a relationship with his childhood sweetheart, Lauren Shippey, who he shares two children with named Reuben and Nyla.
