Emma Kenny has shared the news that she has given birth to her fourth baby. The This Morning regular and psychologist took to Instagram yesterday to share the good news with followers.
Posting a video of photos from the hospital, including holding the new-born baby and kiss her, she said: “Say hi Ella-Grey And then we were six! Say hello Ella-Grey! This morning she entered the world with a very loud cry. The Royal Bolton hospital have been fantastic and ensured that we have both been looked after brilliantly.”
She added that Ella-Grey had been lying on her all day and had latched on “immediately” and is as wonderful as she imagined, Emma told followers: “So, now I have two very big boys of 20 and 22, and two tiny girls aged 1 day and 23 months.”
The 52-year-old welcomed her first children two decades ago, and now has a daughter aged nearly two and a newborn. Emma thanked fans for supporting her, saying: “You stood beside me in the dark times and you gave me so many new career directions that these days I don’t need invites off the MSM! Thank you, all of you, for so much more than you could possibly know.”
The bittersweet message also spoke about the heartbreak Emma had faced in her life. She spoke about her dad who took his own life in 2019, admitting “I never thought I would be happy again, but in truth I couldn’t have been more wrong.”

She said: “I cannot change what happened but I can embrace the gifts that grief brought me. Thank you to all of you who have spent years supporting me.”
Emma also lost her mum recently, as she spoke about the difficulties of having children without her being able to know them. Part of the message said: “I lost my mum suddenly a couple of weeks back, and it’s really strange knowing that neither of my babies will get to know their grandparents…..they would have loved them as older my boys did before them.”
Supportive comments were left for Emma from friends and family. Atomic Kitten’s Natasha Hamilton said: “So happy for you Emma – what a beautiful little girl, huge congratulations to you all.”
Loose Women’s Ruth Langsford commented “Congratulations both”, alongside a confetti emoji and baby emoji. One fan added “Awww congratulations to you both, your girls will be besties! It is hard when the younger ones don’t get to know your parents the same way as older siblings, I feel my youngest missed out on so much too, best wishes to your lovely family.”
Another posted: “Ah Emma, many, many congratulations on the birth of Ella Grey , a most precious sister for your big boys and Etta Blue . Love her name . Beyond overjoyed for you and your family . Ella Grey – may you always be truly blessed.”
Emma is known for her role as resident therapist and agony aunt on ITV’s This Morning where, during the viewer phone-in segment of the show, she provides expert advice on a whole range of sensitive issues.
The TV personality has also emerged as a fan favourite for her presenting roles on true crime programmes – most notably Britain’s Darkest Taboos on the Crime & Investigation Channel.
Her YouTube True Crime series is becoming one of the most watched on the platform with over 92k subs at present and her serial killer next door tour is coming in 2022 across the whole of the UK.
