Charlie Brooks has issued a grateful update ahead of this week’s Dancing On Ice. The former EastEnders star has donned her skates for the latest season of the popular ITV programme.
The 43-year-old has made it to the final six contestants in the competition. The soap star is excited for Sunday’s episode, which will see the contestants perform a variety of 1980s inspired performances.
Charlie has taken to Instagram to reflect on the journey so far as she shared a series of throwback snaps. She said: “This week on @dancingonice we are heading to the 80’s. This is me in the 80s.
“Spent most my life feeling the fear and doing it anyway. It paid off. A life beyond my wildest dreams. So frikkiin grateful.” Celebritys followers and fans were in disbelief as they pointed out the similarities between Charlie and her daughter Kiki.
A Place in the Sun’s Lucy Alexander said: “Oh my it’s Kiki.” A fan named Sarah also took to the comments and said: “Wow Kiki is your double.”
Hayley commented: “Omg it’s Kiki! I didn’t see this before” Savannah added: “I thought these were Kiki! So so cute! So excited to watch Charlie xxx” Dianna commented: “Awww such a cutie ! Cuteness overlaps! Kiki is your Mini-Me.”
Charlie’s preparations last week for the show were disrupted when her partner, Eric Radford, suffered an injury. Charlie was joined by Brendyn Hatfield on the ice last week, but Eric hopes he will be able to return to the show this week.
However, Charlie has been dealt a blow despite the return as she has emerged as one of the favourites to be eliminated. The latest odds from Betfred have Charlie as the second favourite behind Anton Ferdinand to leave this week.
The latest odds have Charlie at 7/4 to be the fifth elimination on the show as a statement said she is in danger of being eliminated. A spokesperson said: “Heading into the weekend, the odds remain firmly against Anton Ferdinand, who is once again the favourite to be eliminated at 10/11.
“However, with the competition proving anything but predictable and Anton steadily improving his scores in recent weeks, a strong performance from him could put EastEnders’ Charlie Brooks in serious danger, as she closely trails behind at 7/4.
