The sixth series of The Masked Singer is well underway with Davina McCall returning as one of the judges on the hit ITV show. Davina, 57, sits on the judging panel alongside Jonathon Ross, Mo Gilligan and Maya Jama every week as a new bunch of famous faces in extraordinary and elaborate costumes take to the stage to perform.
Best known for presenting the likes of Big Brother, Long Lost Family and My Mum, Your Dad, Davina has had a decades-long career in television, having sprung to fame on MTV back in the 90s. Davina was married to Matthew Robertson for 17 years, with the former couple sharing three children.
For the last few years Davina has been dating hairdresser Michael Douglas and in the past, the pair have appeared on the likes of Celebrity Gogglebox. Davina and Michael first met when he styled her hair during her days as on Big Brother.
At this time of year especially, Davina’s Instagram account is regularly filled with photos from The Masked Singer, as well as other projects she is working on. But through the years, she has given her fans a brief glimpse into life off camera and inside her lovely home in Kent.
It was back in 2020 when Davina revealed to Woman & Home that she was starting a new chapter in a new house. At the time, she said: “I’m building a house! My kids and I have been renting and we were trying to find a plot of land.
“So we’re doing it together. This year is going to be super stressful, but really fun.”
She continued: “It’s the next phase of our lives – a house that we’ve all built and everyone gets to choose how they want their bedrooms. We’re unbelievably lucky. It was tough for the kids after we sold our house after Matthew and I split up, so it’s nice to say, ‘fresh house, fresh start’.”
A few years later in 2023, Davina revealed that herself and boyfriend Michael, who share a podcast, had decided to start living today, The Express reported. On the Making The Cut podcast, she said: “I am quite enjoying as a new couple doing new things, because we are newly living together.
“It’s quite nice making new traditions because we did that before Christmas, we sat down together and talked about it: ‘Ok, blank space, what shall we make tradition from now on?'”
Through the years, Davina has given a glimpse into her beautiful home on Instagram. Davina can usually be spotted around different part of her house doing workouts and giving tips to fans.
Throughout Davina’s home, the interior is sophisticated, with much of the décor being white, cream, grey, beige and light brown. In the spacious kitchen you’ll find pale grey nits and cupboards with matching worktops.
In front of the fridge, you get a small glimpse of the kitchen island with light brown plaid which offset the flooring. As for the dining area, there are large windows and gold, arched floor lamp bringing warm light into the space.
Behind Davina, you can see green and wooden chairs gathered around the six-seater dining table. A similar colour scheme as seen in the kitchen carries on into a living room area.
In one room, Davina takes a mirror selfie, with a rustic coffee table and light grey sofa paired with a large rug in the background. But Big Brother fans will also be happy to see some memorabilia on the walls.
From 2000 till 2010, Davina hosted Big Brother and a number of t-shirts from the show are framed above the sofa. Posting the image to Instagram, many Big Brother fans were left feeling nostalgic.
At the time, one person commented: “I love that you have your Big Brother T-shirts framed. #memories.” Another said: The ICONIC BIG MUTHA T-shirt in the background just took me straight back “
Elsewhere in the house, Davina shares photos to followers posing in her large walk in wardrobe which is mainly decorated in white and cream. With a huge mirror inside, you can also see a tall chest of drawers and Davina’s collection of clothes and shoes.
And while Davina does at home workouts around her house, more recently she shares videos from a dedicated gym room. And of course, the standouts in the room are the mirrors and equipment.
Two small mirrors lean against the wall, allowing followers to see Davina’s full workout routines. Workout mats and weights can also be seen.
